Hot prospect Corey Seager was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday. A night earlier, the shortstop/third baseman was with the OKC Dodgers helping them clinch the Northern Division of the Pacific Coast League.

He admitted it was kind of strange to go from that, to making his major-league debut the next night in San Diego with the Dodgers taking on the Padres.

“I came from one where we just clinched in OKC, so that was fun, and now you’re right back in the grind trying to clinch (the NL West), so it should be a bunch of fun,” Seager said. “It was really weird. We just got done celebrating and got home and you’re gone.”

Seager was struck out looking by Colin Rea in the second inning. But he got his first major-league hit in the fifth when he ripped a double down the right-field line. He scored on an RBI single by Joc Pederson.

Then in the top of the sixth, Seager hit a two-run single to center for a 5-4 Dodgers lead.
