Plumes prove plucky for parade

I receive some of the most interesting e-mails and phone calls from my fans!

I would like to share one of the more unique missives I received after my jaunt down the route of the Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade last Saturday.  It is from a long-time friend, who is a veterinarian in San Jose:

Hi Michelle!

Well, I got to see you again, at least. I tuned into the DooDah webcast in time to catch the in-your-face interview with you riding in the Corvette. Got to see you in your elaborate peacock costume. Why did I have the overwhelming urge to grab a syringe and vaccinate you for Pacheco’s disease and avian pox? Also caught a quick glimpse of you alongside the picture frame float (they kind of panned by that one pretty quickly).  Looks like you really had a fantastic time!   I’ll have to scan youtube and see if anyone’s posted any more footage of the parade.

 Congratulations on another DooDah success!

Russ

I’m still laughing and I hope I made your day too!

  1. I am the one who live streamed the parade and have to say that it is great to hear everyone enjoyed watching. I have now gotten a number of emails from Doo Dah fans all over the country. You can watch the parade in full at doodahlive.com (click on the small player in the corner). We had some problems that prevented us from streaming onto http://www.pasadenadoodahparade.info/ but I hope to have that fixed ASAP

  2. Most wondrous! Thank you for covering the parade and thank you for letting my readers and loyal subjects known where they can view it again- or even for the first time. I can’t wait to settle down with a bowl of popcorn to see anything I missed!

Now, carry on, as you were,
