Have some fun with Rowland Recreation Department

Looking for fun activities for your children? Check out the fall classes at the Rowland Recreation Department. Then come out for special Saturday registration hours from 9 to 11 a.m. on Sept. 14, 21.

Exciting new classes include Latin Percussion for ages 6 years to adults. Students will learn the congas, timbales, bongos and other hand percussions.

There’s also Math & Logic for grades K-6, a program to help students with their problem-solving and logical thinking skills. Why not try the one-day etiquette workshops, Youth Etiquette and Life skills for Teens.

The Rowland Adult & Community Education Recreation Department is located at 2100 Lerona Ave. in Rowland Heights, next door to Killian Elementary School.

Hours are Monday –Thursday 1-5 p.m. and Friday 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. You can send registrations by FAX to (626)854-1191 from 1 to 5 p.m. Call (626) 965-5975 ext. 1567 or ext. 1569 with further questions or to confirm fax is received and the class you registered for is still available.
