The Kings placed defenseman Christian Ehrhoff on waivers Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. Teams have until 9 a.m. Thursday to claim him. Ehrhoff had two goals and 11 points in 40 games in his first season with the Kings, who signed him last summer to a one-season, $1.5-million contract. He played last season with the Pittsburgh Penguins after the Buffalo Sabres bought him out of the final seven seasons of a 10-year, $40-million contract.
