Junior pitcher Cassandra Williams of Cal State San Bernardino has been named CCAA Pitcher of the Week.

It is the second pitcher of the week nod this season for the Apple Valley native, who earned three wins in the Coyotes’ four-game series at San Francisco State this past weekend.

Pitching three complete games, Williams allowed just one earned run on seven hits, while striking out 21 Gator hitters in 21 total innings of work.

On Saturday, Williams led the series off with an outstanding performance, tossing a one-hitter. Then on Sunday she threw consecutive three-hit shutouts to improve her overall record to 9-3 and her CCAA record to 5-1.
