The quest to land tickets to Kobe Bryant’s last game at Staples Center could become as difficult to do as defending him.
Several Lakers fans secured their seats well before Bryant announced his retirement. Prices also steadily increased once Bryant made his retirement official. But another alternative has emerged to see the Lakers’ season finale against the Utah Jazz at Staples Center on April 13.
Bryant partnered with Omaze to give away two front-row tickets at center court that requires fans to make a donation as little as $10 through the charitable fundraising platform. Those fans will also have their travel and lodging paid as well as enough proximity to high-five Bryant and his teammates.
“After 20 years as a Laker, April 13 will be a memorable night for me, the team and the fans,” Bryant said in the video. “We are creating an epic experience to benefit three great organizations who bring after school programs and positive coaching to kids in LA.”
The proceeds will benefit The Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation, After-School All-Stars of Los Angeles, and the Positive Coaching Alliance. The campaign ends on April 8 at 12:00PM PDT.
