Vegas’ Ferraro brothers shelved.

Updating my earlier post on Vegas’ fight-filled game Tuesday against the Alaska Aces, it looks as if the Wranglers’ Peter and Chris Ferraro aren’t going to face the Reign (or any other team, for that matter) in the playoffs as a result.

Chris broke his left leg in the middle of a second-period brawl that resulted in the ejection of brother Peter, who was suspended for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs by the ECHL on Friday.

Both are 36-year-old hockey lifers, and the career of Chris Ferraro is in doubt, the Las Vegas Journal Review reports. He was placed on 30-day injured reserve Thursday and his recovery is projected to take 6 to 8 weeks.

Peter Ferraro is escorted off the ice at the end of the sequence (it’s up on YouTube here). Read the gamer in the Las Vegas Sun here.
