Rowat joins University of Alberta.

There haven’t been many goaltenders in Reign history, but Linden Rowat is one of them.

So it’s with that premise of newsworthiness that we relay news that Rowat has enrolled in the University of Alberta following his junior career in the WHL. Rowat appeared in two games for the Reign in 2009, including a 47-save shootout victory. He was not signed by the Kings, who drafted him in the fifth round in 2007.

According to The Gateway, Rowat will get a good chance to play for the Golden Bears.
