Grand Terrace wins first-ever wrestling match

Grand Terrace High School competed in its first-ever varsity wrestling match and won in a rout on Wednesday, trouncing Rubidoux 66-18 in a nonleague contest.

All 11 matches won by the Titans were via pin or forfeit. Coach John Odenbaugh said first-year wrestlers sophomore Daniel Chavez (113), freshman Brandyn Alvarez (heavyweight) and sophomore Dominic Olmedo (145) were especially impressive each winning via pin in less than 2:30.
