UCLA’s Ken Norton on College Football Hall of Fame ballot

Former UCLA linebacker Ken Norton Jr. is one of 75 players on the ballot for the 2017 College Football Hall of Fame class. The ballot was released on Wednesday and the 2017 class will be announced on Jan. 6, 2017.

Norton was a first-team All-American in 1987 and led UCLA to four straight bowl victories. He won a Pac-10 championship with UCLA in 1985. He ranks sixth in school history with 339 career tackles and led the team in tackles in 1986 and 1987. After college, he played 13 seasons in the NFL, winning three straight Super Bowls from 1993-95, the first two with the Dallas Cowboys and the third with the San Francisco 49ers. He is currently the defensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders.

The ballot for the 2017 class also includes Peyton Manning, Marshall Faulk and Tony Gonzalez.
