Linebacker Michael Hutchings will officially commit to USC around 11 a.m.
“It was kind of unbeatable when you put it all together,” Hutchings told the San Jose Mercury News. “(USC has) continually proven they’re an elite school (academically and athletically).”
UPDATED: As expected, Hutchings confirmed his commitment to USC this morning.

  3. He fits the perfect “new” USC LB’s profile! Only negative if it’s one at all might be that he’s strictly outside! I think one of his best assets however will be stopping the run at or very near the LOS. This is a very exciting commit imho!

  4. Outstanding 2013 recruits brought in by Coach Kiffin and his staff, and there are more on the way. Of the top 10 rated universities by Rivals, the Trojans have only 11 2013 commitments. The others range from 14 to 23. And yet, the Trojans are ranked Number 5.

    Three 5-star athletes, Browne QB, Cravens DB, and Bigelow DE headed for USC. All other top 10 schools have zero to one 3 star commitments.

    Dixie Trojan says it best. Nothing short of “Awesome”.

    If we keep our coaching staff intact for at least the next 7 years, the Trojans will be challanging for the NC each of the 7 years !!!

  16. ftfo2009, congratulations on your victory in “Social Work” USC #11 UCLA #16 and in Engineering USC #12 UCLA #16 – on all the other USC victories you won by default because UCLA doesn’t offer those classes.

    I only chose the most important professional fields (in which most schools use for bragging right)s to compare the two schools. I’ve checked out nursing and other fields in which we UCLA beats USC….but nevertheless, I do appreciate you taking the time to prove that there are in fact some areas in which USC does rank higher than UCLA – even if UCLA does not offer those classes.
