USC is 2-0 in conference play for the first time since 2007. But that hardly led to any cause for celebration for the Trojans who do not want another letdown.

“Nobody ever likes losing and the way we lost (to Boston College), that’s not ‘SC ball,” safety-linebacker Su’a Cravens said. “I felt like that hunger, that attitude of being dominant on the field came back. That attitude we had against Fresno State came back. It showed.”

    • funny how this era of trOXans freak out about beating crummy teams. i think Fresno beat Southern Utah or someone like that for their big win this year. ASU will be a test, it their QB is right…..mobile QB’s have always been the trOXans downfall.

        • Yes, USC’s defense looked horrible vs BC, I haven’t seen any trojan deny that. But you UGLY fans cant admit that UGLY’s defense has looked terrible through 4 games.

          Stats don’t lie. UGLY’s Swiss cheese D gave up 469 yds to lowly Memphis, 322 to lowly Texas, 386 to lowly Virginia and 626 to a decent ASU but starting their 2nd string QB.

          It would be understandable if UGLY had big leads in all of these games, therefore having the second-team defense in for good portions, but 3 of ugly’s 4 games have been decided by 8 points or less.

          Do you really think ugly can win against teams like Oregon and Stanford with a defense as porous as ugly’s?

          Stanford’s D will keep ugly’s offense in check, but can ugly’s swiss cheese D keep stanford from scoring?

  5. No team in the Pac-12 should be overconfident against any of the Pac-12 teams i.e. even Cal has improved.

    Parity has arrived, which makes for good drama, but is lousy on the nerves.

    And all the blog talk etc about games means nothing; show it on the field.

    • Exactly right, JW. The media puts a camera and a microphone in front of a player and they say stuff that makes sense. I don’t see any reason why any player on either team in LA should feel overconfident. Shut up and play ball.

      Celebrate when you have accomplished something.

  7. Brett Hundley had 427 total yards and 5 TDs on offense against ASU–just 35 yards shy of the total yardage of the pUSC O vs OSU. Plus, Hundley alone had 5 offensive TDs vs pUSC’s 4 against the doormat Beavs. Oh, and check out who was named P12 O Player and D Player of the week. (Hint: No one from the Clown College.)
