WILCOX.CALCal’s had three defensive backs decommit since Justin Wilcox was hired: Safety Jordan Genmark-Heath switched to Notre Dame, cornerback Je’Quari Godfrey switched to USC and cornerback Michael Onyemaobi is uncommitted.

  4. USC is clearly getting it done! This morning Az HS product and 4 STAR, Isaiah Pola-Mao commits to USC.

    • He’s still asleep. Wouldn’t make any difference if he was awake though. He’d only be thinking about what sweatshirt to wear today.

      • Hope he wakes up soon as there is talk other ESPN 300 athletes are strongly considering USC in the next days….Josh Falo, Auston Jackson, Joseph Lewis, Greg Johnson, Jay Tufele, Aubrey Solomon and Levi Jones. Better yet, someone send over to Scott a big bottle of “no-dos”.

        • Joseph Lewis and Greg Johnson visit this weekend and will most certainly join the Trojan family.

    • USC has jumped to #8 with only 19 recruits. This is going to be a top 5, possibly top 3 recruiting class. CH & Co. putting in work.

    • He has to wait until tomorrow. He performs copy and paste 24 hours after it is posted.

      • Think of the possibilities. It is conceivable (depending on how many “commits” we are willing to turn loose in exchange for better gets) that USC will have —-not the #3 or #2 class—but the #1 class in the country. How would ESPN handle that? Wouldn’t it pose a bit of a problem to put USC at the top of their board when they’re broadcasting from Lexington?

        • How would the Blogger handle a #1 recruiting class?

          I can’t think of another time when USC had to turn away so many good recruits.

          • The Official Inside USC response to a #1 ranking would almost have to come in the form of some 60’s reverse logic (e.g., “…there is no success like failure and failure is no success at all….”)….

    • But I guarantee you that if Palo-Malo chose another school Wolfbag would be all over it. He is the Poster Boy for the MSM. If it doesn’t fit then I won’t print.

  7. There is a really interesting article Yahoo sports featuring Lonzo Ball’s father running his mouth. The gyst of the article is that he wishes he could trade in some of Lonzo’s teammates and surround his son with better players.

    • He also guaranteed that ugly would win a national championship since his son was there. I saw the son play and he is good, but he won’t take them there

      • This could be a major headache for Alford. The other dad that is going to be a problem is Darrick Holmes. You reap what you sow.

  9. Good for CAL in bringing in defensive athletes. Something they haven’t really accomplished since Jeff Tedford was on the sidelines. Caution CAL recruits: be aware the play-calling communication might be a little shaky when you are out on the field (due to previous experience).

  12. The administration up at Cal didn’t allow Justin Wilcox to hire the backstabbing, Tosh Lupoi, because those wounds run deep. And Lupoi is another low character guy on Nick Saban’s staff, that will struggle to move on with his career.
