One name I’ve heard this week for the running backs job is former wide receiver Keary Colbert. He’s already on the staff, so it would be a smooth transition in that sense.

If Haden were AD, it would have already been done because it would have been no effort. I am sure Swann and Helton are really looking.
Love the guy, but is he qualified to be RBs coach? Does one need experience as a player to be a top level coach of that position group?
A guy can be taught how to coach. Some things come from playing the position but that will be picked up as the coach becomes more experienced. Colbert is not that experienced to coach RB’s in my opinion. Receivers, yes. Unless he has undergone a lot of teaching.
Exactly. Stud on the field. But for RBs? Probably not.
Well it sure as h*** isn’t Ron Gould whom Stanford swooped up a day ago……
At least put in a coach who played/has coached the position before. No one has been named yet so let’s not get too excited yet.
I haven’t checked any stuff the last few days. But we need to get someone in place soon so we can start making plans for unofficial visits during the spring.
