Money Is Never A Problem For USC

Two years ago, I told a USC administrator they could pave the streets on campus in gold if they wanted to and I had little doubts they would raise enough for the Coliseum renovation. They already sold 21 of 23 suites for $7.5-$10 million and this is two years before they are even completed. And 95 percent of the suites were sold to individuals, not corporations. It would be interesting to see the average age of these individuals.

  1. I assume a number of them are legacy families with very deep ties to the university same as those who sit each year in ‘Founders Park’ awaiting their friends and those trying to gain access to the rigid pecking order and strict protocol during the activities held prior to the annual homecoming game. It truly is something to see the visage, esp. those of the women, ensconced in their rattan furniture attired in white dress slacks and perusing who they’ll deign to approach them for a inferred ‘hand to cheek’ for the aspiring ‘nouveau riche’ so desperate to gain entree.

They hail from Arroyo Blvd and S. Grand Ave in Pasadena/ Oxford Rd and So. Cyn Rd in San Marino/ Bellagio Rd and St. Cloud in Bel-Air/ Newport Beach on and on and woe unto that fool that assumes this is anything less than real ‘Angelino’ power.

Those prices are well worth the cost to avoid their having to mix with the ‘hoi polloi’.

    • I have loved mixing with the hoi polloi for decades. There is nothing like being elbow to elbow with true fans and feeling the air and sun on your face, and being immersed with the roar of 90,000 people as if one, and being on top of the SC band’s halftime music

Paint me as a contented middle income nobody

      • Amen bruddah’ save it takes only one game to be adjacent to the band to swear off i.e. ‘plus jamais!’…the order by that aging geriatric band leader (forget his name) to have to play the shortened fight song after every 1st down on and on …. good luck

    • They can sell a single luxury box for $10 million but they can’t afford to build a new football only stadium?

      • You don’t want that – this is the most historic and only extant stadium in the entire nation that is relatively intact from its’ frstl reconfiguration to host the X Olympiad 1932.

It is a track stadium that has been reconfigured for football. The peristyle is iconic just as the sweeping high walls are – save for the peristyle end the sight lines are excellent. The Rose Bowl is a more majestic beautiful setting but the sight lines there, esp, the end zones, are awful.

I know the yet to be completed LA Stadium will have all the bells and whistles but look for a ‘tear down’ around 2055 while the magnificent Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will still be standing. What those fools with their ‘festive’ inspired re-design to Soldier Field is criminal. RFK in Philadelphia – gone….the Coliseum is one of the very last along with OH St. and MI as well as NE college football stadiums but none of them have anywhere the history of the Coliseum

        • You still haven’t answered the question of how you were born in St. Vincent Hospital when they do not have a maternity ward…Only babies they deliver are pregnant females in the drug ward or the psych ward! Are you a drug baby or a psycho baby? Either way it explains a lot about who you are.

          • It’s ‘Ted’ aka ‘just blown’ he’s so confused he’s got more ‘ids’ than ‘Sybil’….

          • I’ll try again when I was born in 1950 they had one goofball. Thy shut it down in the early 60’s and re-opened in in the early 90’s. now go and join the sisterhood of lefties you hang with clown boy

        • Hey drug baby get your facts straight! RFK is in D.C. not Philadelphia…

Also, are you a 5th Grader? Complaining about the sight lines in the Rose Bowl endzone? They give those seats away to local elementary schools!

Are you a low life who has stolen tickets off of little kids and complain about sightlines?

I always knew you are a low-life but come on man! You don’t have to be an ARRESS everyday!

          • Hmm lovin’ the hate you emit…..seems like the perv bro’ of ‘Coal-bare’….now there’s a closet swinger if there ever was one….ever seen his manic demon possessed persona get livid when he’s seen for the crack addict he is?

          • Stop talking about your mom and start recruiting other ALBARADOS. Because southern cal will need to do lots of punting that mama’s gone!

          • Owns or ‘Ted’ whatever id you’re invested in tonight, why don’t you and your other ‘sybils’ get together at the Sam Gilbert/JD Morgan Memorial to the Sweetest Con over at the ‘faux’ shrine dedicated to the ‘peckerhead’..

You can join the other brewie who posts here ‘the 66 guns’. How’d your research blow up yer’ back end per St. Vincents? You were so sure man you just ‘knew’ a phone call here….talk about a stalker….someone has issues huh sailor?

      • bozo u spent millions hanging the crumbling mausoleum albatross around its.neck – now it’s stuck with a relic not worth the cost of refurbishment w/o additional $$$$ from shaking down its fan base with a petite tax. Simply Amazing.

  2. Maybe Wolf and Owns can go in on a suite together??? I hear that they can afford a suite at Cerritos CC…

  3. Wolf is fanning the flames of disgust of fans/supporters on the administration’s “unwillingness” to hire the best coaches available when it easily can afford to. Oh they “talk” USC is an historic top-5 football program in the nation. But walking the walk is not on their agenda.

  4. Sounds like they should have planned for more than 23 Suites
