Matt Boermeester Update

Former USC kicker Matt Boermeester has a court hearing set for Sept. 8 in his attempt to reverse his expulsion from the university. In our poll, the results are definitely mixed: 38 percent said Boermeester is right, 36 percent did not know and 26 percent sided with USC.

  1. If USC has proof (txt messages) from his girlfriend as they claim to have then the argument is over !

    Guilty as charged !!!

And if so, law enforcement should be involved !

Men picking physically on Women is/are the ultimate “Coward/Cowards” !!

    What a PUNK

    PunkOn

    • If…. that is why 36% voted “don’t know”. The real mystery is whylocal law enforcement didn’t step in and determine what really happened.

    • All of this could’ve and should’ve been resolved three months ago. This is why the Title IX Office shouldn’t even be in the discussion when it comes to investigating theses charges. There is no due process and they are not qualified. If this woman has sufficient physical and other incriminating evidence that she was being physically abused, then she should’ve went to the campus police. Let them do an investigation and have them forward their findings to the D.A., to the Title IX Office, and the Boermeester’s attorney.

  2. This legal move by Boermeester will be drawn out and made into a circus by the press. Then it will be the girlfriend’s word versus the Title IX people involved. Privacy is going to be thrown out the door if that was the girlfriend’s concern.

  3. Looks like he given up on football and just wants his degree. He should try every avenue to get on the field. Wonder if he could have got an injunction against the football program. He will be harmed since this is last year of eligibility.

Surprised USC has not pursued a settlement. Wonder if the kickers screw up in the first game, the boosters will pressure the administration to get him reinstated.

  4. I voted don’t know, only because all purported info is suspect…the lawyers for Boermeester did present a reasonable summation; If SC really has a case present the evidence…I do believe when someone yells rape, or whatever, there needs to be evidence…I guess SC has none since they ‘will not release it/cover it up’ ; somehow a tennis coaches son has more say than supposed witness/victim tennis player, that sounds suspect too ; if it was criminal it would have been a crime against the state, and investigated for prosecution; what a mess SC made of this.
