Dodgers recall Adam Liberatore, place Chris Hatcher on paternity list.

The Dodgers’ beleaguered middle relief corps will get a new look today. Not coincidentally, so will Chris Hatcher‘s next family portrait.

Hatcher’s wife, Jenny, gave birth a couple hours ago according to this tweet from the pitcher:

Hatcher has been placed on the paternity list, which allows a player to be replaced on the major league roster for up to three days. The right-hander is 1-1 with a 5.40 earned-run average in four appearances this season. He’s given up two runs, both on solo home runs, in 3 ⅓ innings.

Liberatore, a 28-year-old left-hander, did not allow a run in four innings at Triple-A Oklahoma City to begin the season. In 39 appearances with the Dodgers last season he went 2-2 with a 4.25 earned-run average (3.40 FIP).
