Deputies investigate alleged rape of teenage girl at Pioneer High School in West Whittier

WEST WHITTIER >> Deputies detained a teenage boy as they investigated a report of the rape of a teenage girl on the grounds of Pioneer High School late Thursday, officials said.
The attack was first reported about 8:30 p.m. at the campus, 10800 Ben Avon Street in unincorporated West Whittier, according to Lt. Tenney of the sheriff’s Pico Rivera Station, who declined to give his first name. The incident took place well after school hours, and the lieutenant said he was aware of no officials functions taking place at the school.
Deputies responding to a report of a sexual assault found and detained a teenage boy in the area, Tenney said. The boy had not been formally arrested as the investigation continued Thursday night.
Detectives from the sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau were summoned to take charge of the investigation. No further details were available.

  1. I hope this boy’s parents get a good lawyer and there is a thorough investigation. This is not the first time this girl has cried rape. The day before this incident she told other students another boy had raped her. Horrible.

  2. I graduated in 1999 from Pioneer high school. If there really was a rape incident, i hope they catch the suspect and charge him ASAP!! I hate all rapists, child molesters and snitches. Code Of The Street!
