Monrovia cell phone store robbed


MONROVIA >> A man fled with cash and cell phones after robbing a Monrovia wireless store late Thursday, police said.
The crime took place just before 8 p.m. at a cell phone store in the 900 block of West Huntington Drive, Monrovia police Lt. Heath Harvey said.
A man entered the store and demanded cash and phones from the lone clerk, the lieutenant said. No weapon was scene, but the robber claimed to have a gun.
The employee complied, and the robber made off with cash from the store’s registers, as well as about 10 cell phones, Harvey said. The clerk was unhurt.
