A: I think Joe McKnight’s role will become even bigger. This is why McKnight was used so much at wide receiver during spring practice. It’s a good insurance policy if no one emerges at wide receiver. Before he arrived, the coaches said McKnight would be USC’s best wide receiver if he played the position full time. Kind of like using the shotgun more, which is a tacit admission that the offensive line might struggle next season.
