Former USC WR Brice Butler’s Big Pro Day

Butler was known as a possession receiver at USC but he ran a blazing-fast 4.36-second 40-yard dash at San Diego State’s Pro Day today. And he did well in other workouts too. Story here.

His 40 time would have been the third-fastest at the NFL combine.

    curse those over-cautious USC doctors!

I was not one to gloss over offensive errors by Kiffin the last several years, but his selection of starting WRs does stand out in terms of mistakes. The implication that Kiffin misjudged Butler’s speed is doubtful.

At this point in time, it’s very hard to win playing time at WR at USC. It’s not unlike wanting to play RB at Alabama.
