USC Morning Buzz: Fine Talk

Should Steve Sarkisian pay Pat Haden’s $25,000? A reader tells me no because it was Haden’s choice to come down to the field. Does it matter that USC’s amassed a whopping $60,000 in fines since 2011?

There was $10,000 for Lane Kiffin criticizing of the officials in 2011. Then $25,000 for delating the footballs against Oregon in 2012. And now $25,000 for last weekend’s antics.

And USC has yet to hear on Hayes Pullard’s suspension for this weekend. If he is suspended for a half, USC will be down two captains for the start of the Boston College game.

  1. Let’s see… That averages 15k per year…. Not even pocket change and not worth a monetary mention.

  2. Nice job Wolf. You’re following the money straight to the top! This is an institution that is totally out of control. Who knows what you’re going to find?? Athletes selling their jerseys for cold hard cash??? Boosters with sideline access paying for booze cruises on $ex yachts and ab0rtions for players’ girlfriends???? Boosters offering cash and houses to recruits???? Child abuse in the showers????? Or maybe it will be the scandal to end all scandals. Wait for it….THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR CAME DOWN TO THE SIDELINES! The
    horror!!!!!!!

Bring it down! Bring it all down!!!

  3. Strictly chump change. You wouldn’t understand this Wolfie. Not with what little you earn to feed the Trolls.

Also, since we have six captains, who cares if we are down two? Are you nuts?

  4. Pat Haden paid the fine from his personal account and requested the money be donated to Autism research. Try to keep up wolfbag.

  5. is it me, or does it seem awkward for O’Hadden to try to direct where his fine money goes??

it’s a good cause, of course, but the offender does not get to say where his fine money goes! can a drunk driver say: Judge, “I’ll pay the fine (I have no choice, of course) but i request you donate the money to cancer research” The judge would kick him out of the courtroom.

an actual nice gesture on O’Hadden’s part would have been to pay the fine and then donate a matching amount to his charity cause. one more instance of poor judgement….what the heck does JK McKay do anyway?? shouldn’t he be keeping O’Hadden out of these situations?? is he afraid to tell O’Hadden when he is being kooky??

    • Right, because going down to the sideline of a football game is totally similar to driving drunk

    • Fining drunk drivers and the cost of associated DUI classes are a huge revenue stream for the STATE, as well as lawyers and car insurance companies………..don’t be dumb, Charlie….and stop spending other peoples money as YOU see fit…..”an actual nice gesture”, indeed…

      • OH! thanks for the DUI financial info, Mr Wizard!!

has NOTHING to do with O’Hadden’s tacky request…..HE’S the one telling other people what to do with their money as HE sees fit!!

        #You’reNotHelping

          • GAAWD! how dumb are you Dummies? i said it was a good cause, O’Hadden is the one making tacky requests!!

next time i get a late charge on my cell bill, ill ask Verizon to pay it to Autism reasearch, hows THAT????

see, i can be a HERO like O’Hadden and Josh Shaw!!!

            #GeatestAmericanHero

          • Bucket,

How does it feel to be 15-20 moves behind people you constantly refer to as “dummies”?

          • great coming from you, you still think i’m Grave Soul.

by the way, Memo to Gravy:

you KNOW i love you like a brother, but that two-mouthed howdy doody is creeeeepy!!

          • Chuck, I continue to use this avatar because it freaks out the Trolljans every single time. But be careful because they scare easily and, like Seven summoning Haden, the dummies on this blog may call mommy and threaten to sue you for their hurt feelings.

          • What is wrong with you Ugly?– 12 or 13 posts over a 4 hour period?

Have you nothing important to do with your life?

          • i didn’t have so much work, it would be 20-30!!

and thanks for reading them all….between you and Nubsie (i know you’re sill out there big guy!!) the hits on wolfman’s blog are THRU THE ROOF!!!

            #DummySupport

          • Hayden’s paying of the fine and then requesting that it be directed to a charity may have been a ploy on his part to attempt to get a tax write-off as a charitable contribution. Nice try.

    • So, if I understand correctly, based on your posts over the last 24 hours, you can be OK with child molestation and a follow-up cover up by a university and you also dislike donations that could potentially benefit a condition such as autism. You’re a stand-up guy, Charlie. I’m glad your hate for USC does not get in the way of reason and good judgment.

      • you can talk to the trojan family guy about whatever demons he feels the need to expose to everyone (weird). i am now putting you in the T-Fail category…..someone so juvenile and stupid, they are not even worth slamming.

        i don’t hammer bent nails.

        #Dum&Dumer

        • Nice sidestep. Attempting to avoid the truth about your earlier posts and name-calling don’t change your true identity. Pathetic f’ing idiot.

          • Please say “omg” out loud and try to convince yourself you’re not a p_sy (Wolf is censoring me)

          • So not only do you expose your racism by posting stupidity as ThaiMex and defend Sandusky and child molesters, but now you also attack autism? What’s next, defending the NFL?

            #BucketHasNeverBeenRightAboutAnything

          • you really should keep your personal demons out of this….like i told Sally, not a great idea to expose personal details on here. i hope you get the help you need in recovery.

            #GodBless

          • Nice try, BucketDusky. Trying to shift the focus. I bet you also think Janay Rice deserved it.

The focus is on how you, in your vain attempt to spin everything as anti-USC, will defend Sandusky and the NCAA and attack Haden for directing his fine to fight autism. Either you have principles or you don’t. Your only principle is attacking USC. You don’t care if that aligns you with Sandusky or against autism.

In the end, you only have your principles. And multiple IDs to hide behind.

          • see, you are the PRIME example of what Southern Cal turned into ever since Sith Lord Garrett left!!

he had an ARROGANT mentality! Perfect for a dooshy school like Southern Cal!!

THEN the VICTIM MENTALITY took over!! the arrests, the scandals the sanctions…..NOTHING is the trOXans fault, you are just VICTIMS of persecution of some or another form!!

now YOU specifically, have some deep rooted issues presumably involving child molestation (i have to infer this since you are TOTALLY OBSESSED with the subject) Take it up with the police or a pyschologist, you are CREEPING everyone OUT!!!

            #TryVIctimsSupportBlog

    • You just don’t get it son. Can’t believe that you are so slow.

Haden just told the Pac-12 to stuff it by designating a specific charity that his donation needs to go to. The Pac-12 gets nothing, an autism foundation supported by Haden gets 25K. It’s a donation he’d make anyway.

Try to keep up Crotch Boy.

        • little gutty football loses top 10 rank in just two weeks. Now sits behind USC – as usual.

Now son, have you been booing the little gutties at the RB, like all the others? I’ll have none of that. If I hear of that again, I’ll take back your game shuttle passes and stop paying your car insurance!

        • Because giving money to Autism research is tacky?
Pat just turned the thing into a positive. The USC family NEVER saw it as anything other than positive, The AD went down and as the players all said “had their back” letting the PAC12 refs know that they were not going to steal a victory from USC. The team rallied behind PAT and won. Worth every penny of the $25K.

    • I see the big airline sponsor left this blog after it received a ton of complaints with copies of the posts by the Trolls.

    • You must be very inexperienced in life to think that insulting the AD at USC will drive advertisers to this blog. Just the opposite is occurring. You have the right to write whatever you wish, your job doesn’t depend on the consequences.

  6. A much better and more accomplished sportswriter than you, Tony Kornheiser, called the fine “a joke” and that it “stinks” yesterday on PTI. Wilbon concurred with a weak “maybe they fined him for a procedural thing or something.” But they both agreed Haden was doing his job–protecting his coach.

Instead of trolling your own blog, perhaps you should spend some time with truly superior sportswriters. You could even make a career in this business and improve. I root for all USC alumni, so I’m rooting for you.
