USC Signs Radio Extension

USC and 710-AM have extended their radio deal four more years through 2018-19. Is this good or bad? I’m at football games so I have no idea how reception works for most in the area. I do know basketball games that get farmed to 690-AM can be a disaster to listen to.

  2. What’s REALLY a disaster to listen to is Scott whenever he is a guest on The Petros and Money Show, or with Jim Hill on TV……It makes the movie Titanic seem like an episode of The Love Boat…..

  3. 710 am turns to complete mush in the Inland Empire after 5 PM! You cannot listen to a Trojan night game on that station. I guess with over a million people living out here, it doesn’t seem important???

        • Polite Clown, reading comprehension is the responsibility of the reader. I can’t help it if you’re an obtuse SUCCster.

          Have your care provider read it too you several times, that way PC you can concentrate on the clauses within my two sentence thread. Cheers.

        • Wrong as usual. What lillte contact I had with 710 ESPN was severed immediately once the station hired Keyshuck Johnson.

    • Dude, poor reception for the IE should be the least of your worries, LIVING in the IE should be your BIGGEST worry.

      • Be careful, they have some real nice trailer parks out there now, even a lot of double wides moving in.

    • Well there are two options out here in the IE, one is a repeater station in Ontario which has about as much wattage as a two slice toaster and Tunein internet radio. Sometimes the radio play by play is better than the TV anti USC slant.

  6. It is bad because they do nothing to promote USC. They do nothing to promote much of anything in LA other than the Lakers. Rarely hear about USC, UCLA, the Kings, Clippers. Sometimes you will get some Dodgers talk. Max and Marcellus are Kobe Kobe Kobe the entire time they are on.

    On 710 you get Harvey Hyde on the Trojan Brunch. Hosted by Arbogasbag. Whoopee. Did you know that Harvey Hyde used to be a coach? In college? And that he prefers “smashmouth” football over other schemes? If you didn’t, after the first 30 minutes, you will know that. His entire two hours on the air are variations of “When I was a coach, I liked to line up my guys, and have them run into the other guys. As hard as they can.” Followed by Arbo making excuses for the coaching staff.

    It is terrible.

  7. I’m old enough to remember USC on KFI 50K watt clear channel broadcast could be heard from here to Palo Alto

  8. The worst is Saturday mornings – at 7:00 am PST the national sports feed is pre-empted by that clown ‘doc-tah’ Rawburt Clappah’

    and his two hour bore fest. Then again 570 AM on saturday has ‘de joisey boys’ on and their betting hour.

    I agree about the other wonks – all they do is talk about Kobie my Kobie or the Fakers-NBA – it’s nauseating. Max ought to be Clappah’s sidekick – they’re made for each other.
