Steve Sarkisian Sighting

Steve Sarkisian gets caught at the airport by TMZ (who else) and in one of their awkward videos confirms he will work with Fox Sports 1. “I’m just taking some time to focus on myself and to do the things necessary in all aspects of my life,” Sarkisian said.
Does this include suing USC?

    • One of the strangest interview remarks ever. I’m thinking Sark wished he never met the bottle.

He’s a hunted man. Hope he finds a way back into the game for his own peace of mind. I’m betting he’s had his last drink.

      • I hope he’s straightened everything out with himself and his family. I hate hearing about these coaches with families who get divorced.

  1. Steve Sarkisian had better realize how truly blessed he is is being able to land a sweet gig’ that he has secured considering the fallout anyone outside the ‘patrician’ tier he found himself being raised to and has once again returned there. For the vast majority of ‘hoi polloi’ being able to rebound as quickly as Sarkisian is unheard of.

I wish him no ill will but I sure hope he is scarce re. anything doing with USC – anything.

Man up Sarkisian – let’s not see you ever again.

  2. Was he drunk? If he goes on Fox and is his usual state of being drunk, he will be fine for a long time

      • That may have been Reeves in that video of the fight at the Ram game, hard to tell.

      • Didn’t the clown change his name to something like- Saphour One.. Lol, typical clown bruin.. ✌

        • I don’t know, but that dude looked like he was partying too much when the camera was on him and he had really good games, but then he had games with those technical fouls because his attitude. Then he steals a students laptop that had GPS on it and the security tracked it to his apartment. How lend gave that kid a lot of chances.

  3. I’m sure that lawsuit, has been settled out of court already. It’s been like 6 months since we heard anything about it. And when out of court settlements happen, everyone is tight lipped as can be.

  4. I haven’t commented on the Blogger in quite sometime. But good God man, please leave Sark alone and all of the other poor souls that have fallen on hard times. Have some compassion and be a human being for goodness sake. Please, please bring this blog back to sports and leave the gutter dwelling to someone else.

  5. I didn’t realize that TMZ is as desperate as Scott Wolf for “content”. Not even SC fans are interested in what he is up to. That being said, I hope Sark gets his life together and best wishes in his next endeavor.

  6. I want to “focus on myself.” Good Golly Miss Molly, he sounds like a real caring, sharing, non-daring human being

We don’t wish you any ill will; we just want to be free from having to think about you.

    Got it, Scott?

  7. I think it’ll be entertaining to see sark in the broadcast booth! I can totally see him saying outrageous things and causing a big stir. Deadspin is going to have a lot of fun with Steve Sarkisian in the booth.

  8. He’s delusional if he thinks he’ll head a major college football program again, especially since there was nothing special about him anyway, but nevertheless, good luck to you.

      • Why? What’s on his resume that would make an athletic director take a risk on him ?

        • They now have a history of hiring coaches who were fired for reasons not related to football. I don’t think he deserves such a job, but I could see him up there.

          • Lane Kiffen, and Sarkisian would fail measurably at a School like Washington State. ..lol because if they couldn’t take programs with more resources, with a better recruiting base to the next level, then you know it will never happen at W.State…lol

          • Uhh Leach is not that bad @ WA St.. He’s turned it around quickly and unless he gets pulled elsewhere he ain’t going anywhere to the joy of the Palouse.

Sarkisian is a bust – if he hadn’t cried like a stuck pig and then chose to file a lawsuit ‘maybe’ he could redeem himself.

        • In the world of the coaching inbred merry-go-round, it’s all who you know. Who would have thought Kiffin would be OC at ALA in less than a year after he was tarmaced by Haden?

If Sark stays sober for a couple years and has people who are connected vouch for him, I’d bet he could be HC at a mid-major in 4-5 years if he lands a decent gig as a coord. It just takes one buddy AD who thinks he deserves a shot. Just like it took just one single guy at Fox to suddenly make him an announcer with no training or background.

Sark has been the HC at UW and USC. He can blame a booze habit and sanctions for USC. He can blame youth and inexperience on UW and he was still mediocre there. He’s only 42.

I’ve seen people turn around booze problems and do extremely well in their new lives. I’m not advocating Sark in the least. I just think the system will keep him in play if he proves he can leave alcohol behind.
