Pac-12 Network President Resigns

Lydia Murphy-Stephans, the president of Pac-12 Networks, will step down from her post in June and plans to launch a media advisory, according to the conference. She will remain a consultant to the Pac-12 Networks.

Murphy-Stephans made $1.25 million in 2014 according to federal tax returns. Fill in your own DirecTV joke now.

  1. Great gig if you can get it. Only in California can you be this incompetent and get paid that kind money. Someone bring back the gold old days with Tom Hanson.

    • No thanks. Hansen was the country bumpkin who gave away the Grand Daddy of Them All, the Rose Bowl tradition of Pac 12 vs Big 10, to the slick talking SEC sharpies fronting the BCS.

  2. Her Media Advice needs to be like the children’s book “The Bike Lesson”…..”This is what you should not do, so let this be a lesson to you”

  3. On a $ per viewer basis, she is the highest paid media executive in the world.

  4. Female – single – definitely donates to demokwats – probably a former community activist like the clown that ran America into a ditch the past 8 tears. probably followed the same business model Sport Net LA used to bankrupt Time-Warner with that brilliant con job for subscribers being forced to watch brooklyn baseball now called ‘Spectrum’….go deomokwats …CA the one part state with a new 12 cent per gallon tax and what the left-commies didn’t say too loud no ceiling on how high they can raise the tax nor a grandfather clause to get rid of it – gotta make sure those govt. pensions are paid in full and esp. the ‘firemen’

    • The .12 gas tax hike was rushed and bypassed laws in place. Expect a repeal! People are waking up! The real truth is Moonbeam will not be getting $$$ from President Trump and passing a new Measure by the voters is unlikely. The real reason why the gas tax hike was rushed! This is not over!

    • I thought it was an additional 12% gas tax raise, not 12 cents. 12% will be more than 12 cents.

      • Typical leech, collect $1.25 million for a year and then they want to start their own network. In other words, she did not do a damn thing to fix things, she got fired, and they gave her a golden parachute so she can discovery herself. What a bunch of crud.

  5. I have never understood the whole not carrying the PAC 12 for Direct TV. AT&T Uverse has it why then does the other service provider owned by AT&T not carry the PAC12?
I thought about the problem and realized the service on Direct sucks and programming on the PAC12 sucks… It’s like my mom used to say two wrongs don’t make a right. Shrug…

  6. A big do nothing, the whole country gets SEC and BIG 10, etc…Pac12 in about 1/2

  7. Don’t know the product she represented as I never got a chance to see the network being a DirecTV subscriber. If she was partly responsible for that failure, then it was time for her to leave?
