  1. That is awesome. The d line is rebuilding and reloading. If a slime controls the game, then their team wins usually. Stop the run and pin your ears back and sack the qb 10 times just like the Michigan game back in 20003 or 04. He had only been sacked 8 times for the season and SC ripped him a new one

        • Had we needed Asiasi I think he would have transferred to us.Tuli is huge commit. Our 2018 defense commitments will be best in years.

          • Between the LB’s and the DB’s our haul will be huge.We will leave excellent prospects on table for lack of spaces. Couple thoughts. First, come December we will have probably half or more signed. That will leave focus on fewer spots and fewer questions.
Other thought, with 19-21 spots do we see 11-13 on defense?

          • You’re not implying he’s going to make the single biggest mistake in his life by deciding to become a SUCLA SUCCer, are you? LOL!

          • Wouldn’t blame the kid.
Expectations are lower at the other schools.

Can you imagine if Helton had finished with 4 wins?
Mora must have something on Guerrero.

          • Love the thought of your last sentence! However, that other school is so thrilled they are keeping their basketball coach, they will accept anything in football.

          • Oh squatter, I will play your game. Do tell, where else would he go? If he goes to ugly, he will be another Lou Alcindor and deliver pizza for the rest of his life. Why would he do that?

      • Problem is 88, we’re not worried about you bruins. USC’s gonna kick you little gutties around big in the Coliseum in Nov. Another beat down is coming, just like the last two years and most every year since 1999.

Mora’s just another chump change coach now coming off a 4-win season. Darnold will make mincemeat of your pitiful bruins. Sorry, that’s just the way it is and everyone knows it.

Good luck with all your new coaches and DeBong Foster. I’m sure he’ll make a huge difference in your non-existent running game. Hope he can teach your RBs how to run. One would have thought they’d have figured it out by now, don’t you think?

        • Most likely true Jack. We will see come November. Smart money would be on your scenario.

          • Ya think?!

Good to see you bruins acknowledge your inferiority while big mouth Mora nurses his underachievers along as usual.

It’s amazing how poor your football team does in spite of all the talent. It’s like you’re jinxed.

Smart money has nothing to do with it. USC’s just a lot better.

          • Games need to be played. UCLA definitely underperformed vis a vis their talent level. I expect improvement this year but unless we get a miraculous turn around on the o-line it will probably be a 8-4 to 6-6 type of season. An OC can only scheme so much around line play.

All the stars are aligned for Sc, including the schedule this year. I think the main question marks are in the trenches. Can SC compete with an Alabama on the line. Darnold being mobile helps. This is probably your only full year with him. Even though you have good QBs in reserve, guys like Darnold are irreplaceable. His health is paramount for the season. There have been seasons where there were big expectations that didn’t materialize and some that did. That’s why they play the games.

Unfortunately for UCLA, we don’t have Prothro on the sidelines. He did more with less talent than any coach in UCLA history.

          • It goes without saying games need to be played and upsets are always possible. We all understand that 88. You act like your making some big revelation.

But our schedule has nothing to do with beating ucla. USC just has better players and coaches and a serious winning tradition. We actually win big games. You don’t. Your heralded QB has been a disappointment while ours has shown he’s got everything Rosen doesn’t. Mora’s just average. The USC shadow is just too big for ucla as usual.

No sense bringing up Prothro. He last won a bowl for ucla in Jan, 1966.

Bottom line is, it’s another sad chapter in ucla football history. You’re in another giant trough, where even making a decent bowl is just a dream.

So get ready for another USC beat down. Either that, or finally show up and win something instead of blabbing about excuses for ucla’s do-nothing football tradition.

          • Don’t think I am making some big revelation at all. Looking forward to the season. Darnold seems to be a great kid. Just plays football and doesn’t run his mouth. Heisman or not at the end of the year, he’s the real deal. Enjoy.

          • You mentioned games need to be played twice in your previous post, as though some of us forgot. And yes, USC fans are enjoying the Trojans’ total dominance over ucla. It’s great to have a true Heisman candidate again and a near full roster of players. Now that’s enjoyable!

    • Any chance his teammates flip to USC? There’s a lot of time between now and signing day.

    • According to sources, Tuli chose southern cal instead of UCLA because he was tired of being whipped in practice by Asiasi and Tagaloa. He knew he could not compete and chose the school with less talent.
