Summer School Update

Offensive tackle E.J. Price, who is currently not a member of the football program, is enrolled in summer school. USC is currently between summer sessions. Kicker Matt Boermeester is not enrolled in summer school. That makes it increasingly unlikely Boermeester returns to USC.

  1. Thanks for the Rose Bowl memories, Matt. Wish you hadn’t let them go to your head…….

  2. I don’t know what’s happening with Price but last I heard his teammates don’t want him on the team.

    • Hope he’s back in the fold —otherwise he’s gonna be a distraction we don’t need.

      • I think he is a distraction. From what I remember he practically begged to get back on and was denied.

        • Glad to hear someone in a top tier program is telling a former hero ‘bye bye’ because of how said hero did after the fact.

    • That’s athletes but if he came back they’ll open their arms to him. Atheletes also know players when they see one. Difference makers are always welcome to players building a championship.

      • This case is different.
He was poisoning the well by saying he was transferring but was trying to get others to leave with him. This doesn’t slide on any level of sports.

  3. EJ is coming back. I’ve been on this because he can be the difference in making the playoffs. Not that we can’t without him but with, I love our chances. He’ll become a starter and most importantly increase our depth. Also provide more interchangeable parts with him on the line.

    • There is that little issue of the team taking a vote and by a vast majority they did not want him back.

  4. Really now? If the situation is salvageable, by all means, get it done…it does USC no good to harvest 1ST ROUND TALENT if we can’t negotiate every opportunity to flourish it….this is partly where the sacrifice is.

    • Steve, you sound very practical. In the real world, that generally works better than most strategies.
