  1. As much as I am starting to agree with those wanting another coaching change, I cannot help but wonder if all of this public rancor is affecting the team’s spirit.

    • We’ll find out real soon what these young men are made of. I hope they surprise us all and open a can of whoop-a*s on ASU

      FIGHT ON!

    • You know Old Trojan that is a very fair observation. While the coaches may not read all of these blogs, you know darn well the kids do because they are so connected to this electronic form of information dissemination. You actually have touched on a great insight.

    • This coaching staff has affected the team. Players know when they aren’t being coached up. They see people playing because ” it’s their turn, they’ve been in the program longer, etc ” and I’m sure the players get a vibe from Swann that he’s POed

Here’s a head’s up for this bunch, the next HC, and he’s coming next year, ain’t gonna be a huggy, soft coach. Swann played under McKay and Noll, he ain’t going for a cupcake.

      • Cortez- many folks on this blog take shots at you. I read as many of your posts as possible to get contrary viewpoints. They are worth my time.

        • Look, I think Helton is a fine person, family man, church goer, but he just isn’t head coaching material. He got thrown into something he wasn’t ready for. I in no way fault him for taking the USC job, who wouldn’t, it’s just he isn’t qualified.

          • Dude, we know you don’t like Helton. But reiterating it 500 different times is not normal. This type of behavior is consistent with OCD

        • 10% are insightful…… it’s the other 90% were he bullies and belittles other poster’s comments and opinions. Warning, the kool-aid is toxic. He also posts under multiple handles, playing both sides of the fence

But hey, you’re entitled to your own opinion

      • Exactly. I’ve been there. When you have no faith in your coaching staff it is really hard to get motivated because the staff controls so much of what is going on. If they Darnold call plays himself, that would give the players some ownership of this deal, but I don’t think that would ever happen.

    • I agree with you totally. I feel that all of this negativity is affecting the coaches and team. SW thinks he would do a better job of coaching. It is very easy to sit back and criticize. There has been a lot of adversity this season. Just ask Jimbo Fisher!

      • This is part of the gig at playing at a school like USC. If you cannot deal with the heavy scrutiny that comes with playing in a blue blood program then don’t sign up. You want low expectations, then go to UCLA.

        • Hey I expect top national teams! I know we can get a top level coach.?I don’t think Helton can reach that level. All I’m saying is we have 20+ injuries. That makes a difference. Helton did a good job last year bringing the team back together.

  2. This is Scott Wolf..(long pause while he bites into a jellied filled donut and turdcakes rubs his back)… Please pardon my annoying voice, but I must vent what’s on my mind, even if I sound like a broken record at times. Thank you for your patience and enjoy the podcast

  3. 6-2 and halfway through Helton’s second full year and this is the topic with a huge game this weekend? Listen, I’m not dumb, I see and hear what’s been going on. Maybe this podcast topic could’ve waited until next Thursday? But if this is where Flow wants to go, then bring up Harbaugh, his staff, and his team…

  4. As much as I hate to admit I agree with Wolf, I look at this weeks game as a tossup, even given ASU is home. Lets see if anything changes.
