What happens when comic book geeks and beer geeks collide?

Hamilton Family Brewery in Rancho Cucamonga will launch its limited-edition Brewvengers series of 22-ounce bombers beginning today (August 10) and running through Saturday (August 13).

Purchase the whole series and you could get a limited-edition 64-ounce stainless steel Brewvengers growler for free!

Here’s a look at the first editions:

• Today: Origin Story is a Belgian style single brewed with lemons, ginger roots and Chinook hops. It was brewed in collaboration with Sanctum Brewing Company.
• Thursday: The Prinz of Darkness is a black Kölsch brewed using Blackprinz malts. It’s a collaboration with Rök House Brewing Company.
• Friday: The Scarlet Wit is a Belgian-style wit ale brewed with clementines and fresh-ground coriander. It was brewed in collaboration with Rowdy’s Brew Co.
• Saturday: Issue #1 is  an Imperial IPA brewed with Centennial, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops. The following breweries have all brewed a batch and will also release it on Saturday: Sanctum Brewing Company, Rowdy’s Brew Co., No Clue Craft Brewery, Rev Brewing Co. and Chino Valley Brewery.

Bombers and the free growlers are all available in limited quantities, with only 50 growlers available, so be sure to stop by the brewery early if you want to get your mitts on one.

The brewery opens at 4 p.m. weekdays and 2 p.m. on weekends.

In addition, one bomber in each case of 12 has a holographic version of the label art, and has been autographed by the owners of the collaborating breweries.
