More on Quick

Here’s a bit more from Terry Murray about Jonathan Quick. When I last talked to Murray, he said he wanted to talk to goaltending coach Bill Ranford about Quick’s progress since training camp, so I asked Murray if he had held that conversation…

MURRAY: “Yes, I did. I talked to Billy and I talked to (assistant GM Ron Hextall) about it. They’ve seen him recently and they were at the game he played recently in Winnipeg (with Manchester). His game has been good, and all of the reports have been good. He has improved in his game, right from the first days of training camp. That’s the information that is coming back. Certainly everybody feels that he’s deserving of an opportunity, and after seeing him in Detroit, i certainly agree with their assessments. We need to improve as a team, and play that 60 minutes again. We have to stay in control and play our game as we get in those critical situations late in the game.”
