Westridge 8, Azusa 0 — Freshman goalkeeper Alex Perez recorded a shutout and Makala Thomas scored twice to lead the Tigers to a win in their season opener. Sophia Makarem, Sarah Larman, Summer Garrison, Maya Bluthenthal, Charlotte Stephens and Ella Rushing each scored a goal for Westridge.

Girls water polo
Temple City 11, Charter Oak 9 — Gabby Sicat and Lindsay Irie each scored three goals to lead the Rams (1-0) past the Chargers in overtime. Sarah Adams scored four goals and had six steals and Katie Fugit had three goals and two steals for Charter Oak (0-1).
Arcadia 16, La Salle 3 — Colleen Cook had four goals and Lauren Sargent and Katie Nigolian each scored three goals to lead the Apaches (1-0) to the nonleague win. Haley Harvey and Alyssa Boseroy each scored twice for Arcadia.
