Alhambra 4, Montebello 1 — Second baseman Alex Hernandez had a game-winning catch and Benny Olguin struck out eight for the Moors (6-4, 3-1) in an Almont League victory.
La Salle 5, Serra 1 — Jeffrey Daley was the winning pitcher and Ethan Patrick went 3 for 4 with a triple, double and three RBIs for the Lancers (4-4), who won their Del Rey League opener. Daley also had a double and an RBI.

Softball
Pasadena Poly 10, Westridge 3 — The Panthers (4-3, 2-0) scored five runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Tigers in a Prep League game. Brennah Bronk pitched a one-hitter, struck out nine and went 3 for 4 with two doubles and three runs. Also for Pasadena Poly, Catalina Alonso had three RBIs and Megan Kelleher had two RBIs.

Boys tennis
Maranatha 15, Valley Christian 3 — The Minutemen (5-1, 2-0) won 11 of the first 12 matches in the Olympic League showdown. Matt Alleman and Bryan Lin scored singles sweeps and the doubles team of Drew Sierra and Billy Tan and Matt Leiva and Michael Mathews both swept.

Boys volleyball
La Salle 3, Mary Star 0 — Will Dalgarn had 11 kills and nine digs, Tyrese Lee had eight kills and CJ Retting had 12 digs for the Lancers (2-8) in a 25-9, 25-14, 25-9 Camino Real League victory.

Alverno 13, Flintridge Prep 3 — Therese Oshiro had seven strikeouts, Maya Vasquez had two RBIs and Olivia Stevens had a homer for the Rebels (1-1) in a nonleague loss.
Mayfield 5, Ramona Convent 4 — Madeline Biscaichipy went 2 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs and Taylin Yankovich had a double and two runs scored for the Cubs (2-0), who won their home opener.
Paraclete 6, Pasadena Poly 3 — Tara Adarkar went 2 for 3 with a run scored and Brennah Bronk had three RBIs for the Panthers in a nonleague loss.

Boys tennis
Arcadia 18, Burroughs 0 — The Apaches (6-0, 2-0) swept the Indians for the Pacific League win. Charles Deny, Jun Nakamine and Matt Feng swept in singles and the teams of Herman Sham-Jonathan Figueira and Gary Zhu-Jeffery Lee swept in doubles.
Maranatha 16, Azusa 2 — The teams of Billy Tan-Michael Matthews and Drew Sierra and Matthew Leiva swept in doubles for the Minutemen, who won their first match of the season.

Boys golf
MARANATHA 222, FLINTRIDGE PREP 230 — Ben Sacks shot 1-over 37 for Flintridge Prep (1-2) at Altadena Golf Course in a nonleague loss.
Kaili Chiu shot 38 to lead Maranatha (1-1).
Pasadena Poly 199, Mullen 239 — Nick Foker shot 38, Michael Hatch shot 39, Charlie Foy shot 40 and Christian Henderson and Harry Foy shot 41 for the Panthers (3-0) in a nonleague win.
La Salle 221, Salesian 317 — The Lancers (3-0) had the top five finishers at the par-35 Whittier Narrows Golf Course to defeat the Mustangs. David Chen led the way with 38, Jeremy Law shot 39, Michael Sweeney shot 46, Ryan Zhao shot 48 and Ryan Judson shot 49.

Ontario Christian 3, Pasadena Poly 2 — Richard Berry had nine kills, Johnathan Thein had 20 assists and Graham Olson had three blocks for the Panthers (0-2) in a 25-12, 16-25, 25-11, 18-25, 15-12 nonleague loss.

Freshman pitcher Devyn Netz struck out seven and went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double and two RBIs, Aly Granados went 2 for 3 with two homers and five RBIs and Ashley Park went 2 for 3 with a home run.

Arcadia 17, Keppel 1 — The teams of Brian Kim and Herman Sham, Bradford Yau and Jonathan Figueira and Gary Zhu and Jeffrey Lee swept in doubles for the Apaches (3-0, 1-0) in a nonleague match. Also for Arcadia, Matt Feng swept in singles.
