Man stabbed in neck in Baldwin Park

BALDWIN PARK — Surgeons rushed to save a man’s life after he was stabbed in the neck during a fight early Saturday, police said.
Police responded to a report of “several subjects fighting” just after midnight in the 3700 block of Merced Avenue, between Ramona Boulevard and Baldwin Park Boulevard, Baldwin Park police Sgt. Chris Hofford said.
The fight had dispersed by the time officers arrived, however police received a call from a local hospital a short time later informing them that a 25-year-old stabbing victim had arrived at the emergency room, Hofford said.
The wounded man hospitalized in critical condition and immediately rushed into surgery, the sergeant said. His medical condition prevented him from giving a statement to police early Saturday.
No arrests had been made, and no suspect description was available.
Anyone with information was asked to call Baldwin Park police at 626-960-1955.
