Police: man shot during dispute between roommates in Whittier

WHITTIER – An unidentified man is expected to survive after he was shot multiple times in both arms by his roommate Tuesday.

The shooting occurred during an argument between the roommates.

Whittier police received a call at 4:20 a.m. about gunfire in a house on the 10700 block of Jordan Road, according to Officer Brad White.

The accused shooter, Chris Perez, 31, of Whittier was taken into custody and is being held at the Whittier Police Department.

Police do not know how the argument started or what it was about.

“The argument escalated to the point where the suspect shot multiple rounds at the victim who was transported to a local hospital,” White said.
