I would throw out some names, but I don’t want you to know which way I’m leaning as we approach the final two weeks. I think it’s fair to say the player of the year will come from one of the remaining semifinal football teams or Bishop Amat, winners of the Serra League and Pac-5 Division quarterfinalists. For the first time in a while we’re not just looking at offensive players, there are some defensive guys worthy of strong consideration too.
