amatsocAmat wins battle of defending champions, 3-0: Bishop Amat High School’s Jamie Peters took the long pass and then tried to outrace the speedy Marshall defenders in Thursday’s nonleague girls soccer game. Marshall goalie Jocelyn Lopez also raced out to the ball along the sidelines, about 25 yards from the goalmouth. “The goalkeeper was gutsy coming out and trying to get the ball,” Peters said. “I heard my teammates calling for the cross and I knew someone would run full speed to get the ball. I was just trying to get there and passing it to my teammates.”

San Dimas 10, Nogales 2 — Daisy Duran had three goals and two assists in the Saints’ highest-scoring victory in two years to improve to 2-0 in the Valle Vista League. Cheyenne Cepeda also had a hat trick for San Dimas, while Morgan Quarternik added a goal and an assist in the win.

That must have been a good game. I caught LA vs DR and let me tell you that DR looked pretty good. LA dominated but couldnt put it away but DR had their chances also.
