Roster’s for Saturday’s East-West Hall of Fame High School Football game at West Covina HS

Click the thread to view rosters for Saturday’s East-West Hall of Fame all-star football game at West Covina High School at 6 p.m.

Game Preview: It may have been a year ago, but the West team’s resounding 31-14 win to halt the East seven-game win streak in the Hall of Fame All-Star Game for high school football seniors has not been forgotten. Especially by the East.
The Hall of Fame Game rarely feels like “just an all-star game” and it doesn’t figure on Saturday night when East meets West in the game’s 37th renewal at West Covina High. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
“I’ve talked about it every time we’ve practiced, because last year it was 31-14,” said Chaffey head coach Chris Brown, who will coach the East team on Saturday. “I’ve brought it up because you want the kids to have fun, but Saturday night at 6 o’clock, it’s on. You can only play football one way and that’s the right way.”

I personally do not like the new format of this all star game. I preferred the old SGV HOF game. More local players from the SGV and not the likes of the IE, Whittier, LA areas. I know it was way one sided with the east dominating, but it was more intimate to the players we watched locally since they were growing up.

No players from the Big 8 ? Where are the Norco, CC players . It seems that this should be a contest between the SGV and the IE at a site somewhere in the middle . Going to far west for players , Eagle Rock , Wilson LA , Cathedral ???

Too big of an area to say the IE vs. the SGV. To even be remotely competitive , it would have to be either Riv Co or SB county vs. L.A. county. The IE team murdered the OC team last year 69-16. That would an interesting all star tournament, teams from OC/SB/RV/LA county lining it up.
