The way rankings are south hills does deserve to be ranked number 1 . The reason It’s not good for Amat to schedule South Hills is that South Hills is in Division 6 . A win against a D-6 team is worth less points than a Loss to a D1 team . Amat has to schedule mostly D1 teams and maybe One or two division 2-4 teams . Now that 3 teams in the Mission are not D1 every point counts . So scheduling a D6 is not in Amats interest . I know Bechtel Wants to brag that they wanted to schedule Amat , but they didn’t do anything in there past league and CIF for Amat to consider . Paramount has been improving and is in Division 4 . Paramount has more athletes and bigger in size than South Hills so it’s a better non league game . Paramount actually beat San Diego’s preseason number one ranked team mission Hills before they lost to Amat . Paramount has played all D1 teams so there record is bad . Paramount would beat South Hills if they played . Maybe if South Hills makes a couple of deep runs they can get bumped up to D3 and then Amat can look at it as a good pre league game . Then Amat would blow them out with this talented 2021 class they have .
