  1. Announced March 25, 2015, elsewhere and paraphrasing:

Specific details pertaining to this City Target are still unclear, such as the store’s exact size, but an internal scheduled announcement for the USC Village project stated that City Target would be made public next month sometime in April 2015. Given that the total square footage allotted to retail will be 115,000 square feet, City Target will become the largest anchor within USC Village, joining the previously announced Trader Joe’s, along with returning tenants Bank of America and Starbuck’s.

    • I would imagine a market would be there too – no not the infamous (low low prices) 32nd Street – that new firm that is shutting down a number of Albertson’s and Vons that was announced two weeks ago?

    • The USC village will be renamed “TaG City” within the first year of operation.

      • Hey SUCCee, how are the businesses doing around the most dangerous campus in the universe these days? What?! Another Burger King going out of business? LMFAO!!!

  2. Although i like the idea of a Target here, the same products are more expensive at City Targets compared to regular Targets so that doesn’t make sense for this particular demographic and area.

    • Actually City Target is aim at urban shoppers, specifically apartment dwellers. Bulky items too hard to carry on mass transit, walk home or store in small apartments are not
stocked in City Target stores, even if they are stocked in suburban
Target stores. So given the large numbers of students in the immediate area living in dorms and apartments, the demographics seem perfect for the City Target concept.

  3. With this Target and the Goodwill at 28th Street, Scott can now do all his clothes shopping in the area!

  4. At first I thought this was a play on words, that SC was a target.

On second thought, I believe that was ol’ Scottie boy’s intention

    Clever little guy he is
