d605 ALL-STARS: East roster finalized… tentatively

Quarterback Angel Molina (Sante Fe), all-purpose Romeo Pellum (Santa
Fe), running back Jon Potts (La Serna), defensive back Gerg Francis (La
habra), lineman Josh Gracieux (St. Paul) and tight end Robert Arriola
(California) are among a list of 28 area players who are members of the
East team for the 40th annual 605 All-Star Football Classic scheduled to
be played June 2 at La Mirada High School Stadium.
The East roster has been updated and is set, according to East coach Pete
Gonzalez, as set that is, as an all-star roster can be.
There have been late additions and deletions for the East and West
teams, but the “finalized” rosters are loaded with talent.

hey roger, i love the blog u got going on the site!!

my only suggestion is can this game get some more pub in the paper during the week, like some roster with college commitments, some interviews with some of the local stars, and a match up deal like The Times does for USC and UCLA….like a pregame deal?

im just asking because this game is THE GAME of the year, and if i remember right its last year at pioneer it was over capacity (6,000), so im sure this year theren will be 6,500+…so why not give it more pub locally, after all, these are the kids who grew up attending the game as spectators, and now they are the stars we watch from the stands.

Who is in charge of the game because he/she or the group deserves a lot of credit for putting on such a well run, respectable, and fun game. Many thanks you!!

    just posting roger thanks

saw the game last night and what a great game by the east and the coaching staff, truly the west was out coached. what a monster that kid lewis from artesia and the qbers from the east were far superior. Knowing most of the kids, watching the kid from Los altos at qber was strange he is too good for his size, had all the passes been caught the game would have been by more than four td’s. The D from east seemed to be right on the money and never gave the west an opening

I agree great game, I thought the East side did a great job. St. Pauls coaching staff definetly seems to be on the same page. The kid from Artesia is a stud, Morales from SP looked awesome and as well as the kids from Santa Fe. Very exciting game. The West side seemed very uncontrollable. They obviously need to get some stronger coaches in there. Great job East side.
