It’s still Oktoberfest season, which means there are events this weekend, including one Saturday (October 4) in Corona.
Taste of Brew’s inaugural Oktoberfest is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. at Crossroads Riverview Park, 14600 Baron Drive.
Several local breweries — including Black Market Brewing Co., Bootlegger’s Brewery, Brew Rebellion, Fireman’s Brew, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Four Sons Brewing, I & I Brewing, J.T. Schmid’s, Sons of Liberty Aleworks and Wiens Brewing Company, along with Crabbie’s and Samuel Adams — will be showcasing fall, winter and German-style brews.
There will be German oompah music courtesy of Linda Herman’s Alpine Band, and more traditional rock ‘n’ roll from the Tomcats, contests and German food.
Tickets range from $35 to $45 and include both 5-ounce samples and full-size beers. Parking is $5 and designated driver tickets are $20. Discounts are available for groups of six or more.
Proceeds will benefit the Loyal Order of Reenactment Enthusiasts — which presents the Renaissance Faire in Corona — and the 1st Marine Division.
