Veterans honored at Corona craft beer festival on Saturday

Veterans Day isn’t until next week, but veterans will take center stage this Saturday (November 4) at the Amber Waves of Grain beer festival in Corona.

The event is set for noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Shops at Dos Lagos, 2780 Cabot Drive.

The event will begin with a military parade and will feature a military museum, World War II veterans (including a Pearl Harbor survivor, an Iwo Jima veteran, and a Normandy parachutist) and historical military re-enactment groups, from various eras.

Also promised are vintage and current military vehicles and more than 30 non-profit veterans groups.

Volunteers for the Veterans History Project will be interviewing veterans, as well, so that their stories may be preserved for future generations.
