Cathedral City Sizzler donating 100% of sales to charity Monday night

If you happen to live near (or are willing to take a drive to) Cathedral City and want to help out the AIDS Assistance Program, then mark your calendar for Monday (May 2).

From 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, the Cathedral City Sizzler at 31875 Date Palm Drive will celebrate its grand re-opening and will be donating all its sales during that time to the charity.

The restaurant, which was formerly owned by a franchisee, closed in December 2009. It is re-opening as a company-owned restaurant.

Kudos to the Cathedral City Sizzler for their generosity!

We went to the cathedral city Sizzler tuesday the 31st of Jan,.And it was closed. Is it closed for good or just for the day. It was always doing good business. And the food was always fresh and good.

    Thanks

    Virginia:

Sorry to hear that…it appears that the closure is permanent, as it has been removed from the Sizzler website.

It looks like the remaining low desert location is at 81-760 Highway 111 in Indio. (There are also locations in Yucca Valley and Banning, but that’s a long way to drive for some Malibu Chicken.)

Not sure what caused the closure…they had only been open (again) for less than a year. Perhaps, like the phoenix, they will rise again.
