Pieology lands in the Inland Empire

You want red sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese? Check.

Herb butter, gorgonzola and bacon? OK.

Olive oil, chicken, pineapple, garlic, jalapeƱos and pesto? Uh…sure.

How about red sauce, herb butter, olive oil, mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan and gorgonzola cheeses, pepperoni, sausage, meatball, chicken, ham, bacon, black olives, mushrooms, red onions, green peppers, artichokes, tomato, pineapple, jalapeƱos, fresh basil, cilantro, garlic, roasted red peppers, black pepper, pesto and barbecue sauce? Absolutely!

That’s the concept at Pieology pizzeria, which will officially open its newest location Sunday (September 1) in Rancho Cucamonga.

Your pizza can contain as few or as many ingredients as you like, all for $7.50 or less.

The mind boggles.

If you’re one of the hundreds of people who picked up a free pizza at the location during its three-day training preview, you got to answer that very important question: What do you want on your pizza?

I was one of those who went to the restaurant’s sneak preview and was very impressed: Those flavorful thin-crust pizzas are deceptively filling.

It was a trial by fire for the employees and they all appeared to emerge still smiling.

The pizzapalooza hasn’t ended yet. Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday, the location will be giving a free pizza to each party that visits. Somehow, I think families will suddenly become strangers during those two hours.

The Rancho Cucamonga Pieology is at 8158 Day Creek Blvd., Suite 120. A second Inland Empire location is soon to open at 3908 Grand Ave., Suite A, Chino, with others likely to follow.
