Sex offender accused of lewd acts in public in Pasadena

PASADENA >> Police jailed a convicted sex offender Tuesday after witnesses reported seeing him exposing and touching himself in Pasadena, officials said.
Edward Frank Valdivia, a 51-year-old transient, was booked on suspicion of committing lewd acts in public about 9:45 p.m. in the 200 block of South Raymond Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Mark Goodman said.
When officers responded to a report of a man exposing and touching himself in front of a restaurant, they encountered Valdivia, “who had his pants down,” the lieutenant said.
Police detained Valdivia without incident and arrested him once witnesses identified him as the person who exposed himself, Goodman said.
According to California’s sex offender registry, Valdivia has previous convictions for indecent exposure and for assault with intent to commit a sex offense.
According to county booking records, Valdivia was being held without bail pending his initial court appearance, scheduled Thursday in Pasadena Superior Court.

  1. This guy tried to molest me when I went to his house for daycare. I told my mom when I thought he was trying to do it to my little sister and she pulled us out. Everyone was crying and his mom said she believed her son. I hope she is not alive to see this. She was like a second mother to me. Not surprised to see this is how he ended up.
