PASADENA >> Detectives are investigating the death of a person found dead at the base of a parking structure at the Sierra Madre Villa Metro Gold Line Station Friday afternoon, authorities said.
The incident was first reported as an apparent suicide shortly after 1 p.m. at the station, at Sierra Madre Villa Avenue and the 210 Freeway, Pasadena police Lt. Jesse Carillo said.
Pasadena police turned the investigation over to deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Transit Services Bureau, Carrillo said.
Transit Services Bureau deputies, in turn, summoned the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau to spearhead the investigation, Transit Services Bureau spokesman Ramon Montenegro said.
