Chew on this …

Charter Oak lost to three of the four teams in the Inland Division semifinals. They are: Rancho Cucamonga, Chino Hills and Vista Murrieta.

Aram’s take: If you’re gonna lose five games in a season, why not make three of them to teams that are playing in a 13th game?

  • Chino Hills

Much respect. My son played them and says they are a very good team, and will be really good next year. I saw a well coached team with great athletes. I like their style scheduling Rancho Cucamunga and Vista Murrieta.

  • WTF?

Actually, they didn’t schedule Vista. They played them in the first round and cried about it the whole week before.

  • D-Mo

Cried? You must be thinking about another team. CO was glad to get VM. Too bad CO didn’t bring their A game to the playoffs.
2011 Chargers should make some noise in the Inland after shutting down the Sierra.
    OK haters, it all yours.

  • SGV FOOTBALL

    WTF?,

Please let us know who was crying about the game that week? Go back crawl under your little rock and STFU!

    Ceee-Ohhhhhh

CO was a very good team they palyed hard and with passion.. they were well coached and never gave up… they will be good for years to come… by playing the tougher teams in preseason it makes you better when you play in league .. and gives you and edge for the big games and are always helpful later in the season…

CO players and fans please come to the Chino Hills / Centennial game Friday it would be an honor for you guys to be at our game…we like you will do our best …

CO was not very good this year. They were very young and UN discipline. However they had solid leadership from a few senior leaders and they were very athletic.
The experienced coaching staff will do well with group in the years to come.

  • CO Conqueror

I went to every game and I thought I would never say this but…Big Lou does not have control over his team anymore. Kids are fighting with other players and refs! and don’t get disciplined or even talked to! kids are jumping off-sides, coaches are yelling at each other on the sideline. Oh yeah and btw D. Farrar is a terrible play caller! and they still made it out of the Sierra with a starting freshman back and a bunch of sophmore and junior starters.

  • D-Mo

Hey CO Conq, there were some things going on behind the scenes this season that you obviously have no idea about, but thanks for your attendance. Don’t lose faith in our Chargers.

  • JFR

    CO C*ntueror,

Your always welcomed to join Saturday meetings to give us your input that is far superior from Dom’s play calling. The sidelines at CO is so different than any others because it’s family and friendships that go back for over thirty years. Big Lou has the ultimate say but he listens to everyone even when it come’s down to yelling. We are family and you are crap. Please enlighten us and tell us what you would have done differently on O with 1 returning QB, WR, OL and a freshman running back. Balls in your court peckerwood.

  • JFR

Please go onto maxpreps and look at Santiago’s stats from last year and compare them to this year CO #UNT.

  • Chino Hills

    To all the Haters,

What, did you not get your fill when you were in H.S.?
C.O. has a good program, they showed class and did not quit. What more can you ask for?

    Get over it!

  • CO Conqueror

Don’t get your panties in a wad JFR. Look I have much respect for the CO staff I just don’t understand why they went no huddle and only ran draw or deep routes “every down”. Of course a well coached team would run dime packages or 3 safety’s when all you do is throw deep or run draw every play. You needed to put Travis back under center and run the ball more. In my opinion Glendora should have been beat, SH shouldn’t have been close and Claremont should’ve been beat! Look, I promise you I wasn’t the only one saying that and those speaking played the game and coached the game for many years.

  • sgv ball

JFR..I have to somewhat agree with CO Conq. on this one. I too was at every game this year and heard the rumblings that criticized the play calling and sometimes agreed. I thought #7 did what he wanted when he wanted and never got disciplined for it (which I was very shocked to see knowing that staff!) Still one of the best staff’s around and think that they can go deep into the playoffs next year!

  • Charter Oak Bit off more than it can chew!

I am not sure is Charter oak has the talent pool, to play in this division. For years Charter Oak has had players transfer from Pasadena, Monrovia, Duarte, etc..Thats where alot thier speed players come from. I am not saying CO does not have players Home Grown. However, CO won’t have the big speed year end and out. For example…the last few years, they have had Adam, Brandon, AJ, Leon, and Rufus. That’s how they beat teams like Rancho. If they still had those guys, they would still be playing this week. This year they only have Rufus and Kurt. They are two great players, but they are not loaded. Could that be the reason for this years 1st round exit? These players are all from the west SGV. They had every right to transfer to CO. That isnt the issue. The issue is, will they be able to continue to compete in this new division? Players in the past have been drawn to CO. Now some schools have made coaching changes, and players are staying locally. Things may change. Look at SHills. Some schools get exposed when their program is heavily dependent on outside talent. They may win in a lower division, but when they are forced to move up, They don’t win. I am sure rancho or Corona cent. get trasfers, but They have local talent every year. lets hope that CO ca figure out what where they are going to get their next load of players from. The coaching staff their is great! But you don’t win without horses. Good luck next year CO.

I agree that you need the horses however, I think CO had them. Not many teams could line up in spread or trips with all their receivers over 6′ and who could all run and we’re all juniors or seniors! Yeh they had a freshman running back (who was the toughest kid on the offense in my opinion)but he did things that 11th or 12th graders did, he just wasn’t used enough! Tell me one thing, as the season/schedule got tougher why did the defense get better (with way less athletes btw) and the offense get worst? there were no injuries they had their horses..it was the PLAY CALLING!

  • JFR

Ok, CO Conqueror (why the name anyways?) I challenge you to approach the coaching staff directly. If you know any of them well enough they are decent men that care for and help kids everyday. Obviously, your motives are clear and if you are sincere quit hiding behind a screen and talk to them directly.

You should recognize my screen name if you are that close with the program and see me every Friday night. The loyalty runs deep throughout Big Lou’s mafia so take your agenda behind closed doors and be a man and then express your real concerns.

Honestly you have no idea what the hell you are talking about trust me and offensive numbers speak for them self and do not lie. Between individual and team offensive statistics number one and number two look how many points C.O. had to score to beat opponents. Come on dude, I’m calling you out. Tell me what time you are going to go by and I’ll make sure to be there and introduce you to those guys.

  • The 16 year old starting freshman RB!

Glad he has 3 more years to show he can be good! For being a 16 year old freshman you would think he’d be dominating, if he was actually good.

    Just a thought.

BTW, RUFUS IS LEGIT!!! Kid beat SH on his own!

  • CO Conqueror

JFR – There’s no reason to meet anyone for anything because the season is over and it’s not like any coach would listen to some no name blogger anyway. I’m just saying what lots have mentioned and it’s just an opinion. I do think if none of it was true you wouldn’t be getting so worked up. All I can hope for is that a seed was planted and maybe the CO offensive minds will re-evaluate. Good luck next year and I will be there to see how it all unfolds! (btw the name was just something I came up with because it sounded funny)

  • CO Conqueror

The 16 yr old freshman RB was a flat out stud! He ran hard, had great open field moves and wasn’t afraid to put his shoulders down. I wish he would have got more touches!

  • psh yea right…

U really think that freshman running back was a stud? This kid should have played freshman ball with the rest of the freshman that can do anything he can do, maybe better. I’m Jus saying you guys are thinking he was that much of an impact. The 15 year old sophomore Khari Garcia should have been the one with the most touches. I see Khari starting at RB for the chargers next year.

Every body admits that life is expensive, but different people require money for different stuff and not every one gets big sums cash. Therefore to get good personal loans and just sba loan would be a proper solution.
