Aram’s takes: The series has really gotten away from the West over the last decade. Yes, the West has had its moments, but not enough. This year probably won’t be any different, but you never know with Nick Bueno at QB and a healthy Jeff Davis right there with him. The East receivers are insane. Dockery is fantastic. If you haven’t seen him, you’re in for a treat. And then how does anybody matchup size-wise with Aubrey Coleman and Wallace Gonzalez? The East will be without QB Garrett Pendleton, who broke his hand on grad night. But they’re four-deep at QB with Cameron, Rodriguez, Ball and Johnson.

  • david duvall

how in the hell did vega of wilson make this team. unbelieveable

  • Colt74

I think anyone would be hard pressed to put a more talented group of young men on a football field at one time than you have listed there.

  • local coach

The problem is the distances between the schools in the west side. It’s hard to get athletes to commit when they have to drive 20 to 30 mins on the freeway to go to practice. The east side schools are pretty much all bunched up together.

  • Wolfpack Fan

Dockery is a straight out beast end of story. I went to every game just to see this guy play. He is fast quick and has the best hands I could ever see. He will score touchdowns and he is also clutch when it counts. All I got to say is Chino Hills because he was the reason Claremont won after being down 21-0 at half. I can’t wait for this game. Go number 11 that is if Dockery is going to be that number. Go Pack!!!!!!

  • hey David it was Coach Thomas

Not only is Vega on the team, he and Thomas from Northview will be the only 2 RB’s for the game, Coach Thomas put the others on defense

  • What the Heck?

Can anyone tell me why there is 3 Northview kids on this team? If they were good enough to get 3 kids on then why was their record so bad? Shouldn’t a team like Azusa or Glendora have at least 2 kids on the team? Sounds like BS to me.

  • I’ll tell you…

Northview probably have three players on the team and Glendora/Azusa/etc. don’t probably because one or more of the following:

    1. Coaches did/didn’t nominate the players from those schools.
    2. Players that were nominated couldn’t be reached by coaches that coaches.
    3. Players couldn’t commit and/or didn’t want to play in the game (play other sports or have commitments to college teams- like Jeffries I assume).
    4. Players from those schools play at a position of great depth in the valley.
    5. … name it…..

    Those would be some guesses.

  • Dearest What the heck

They probaly were invited, didn’t you notice that Chad Jefferies was not on the list? and there are several others who declined the offer to play, scholrship guys dont want to risk injury going into their freshman year of college

JOSE NUNEZ, from AZUSA is a very good linebacker! Already playing for Citrus College and could be starting at that position. Watched him play the other day and runs very quick to the ball.

I’m hoping Citrus has a better season this year, then the last one. If you get a chance come out and watch them, there games are usually on Saturday afternoons.

Congrats Nunez, you have one more GAME to play, enjoy it!

  • Football Fan

The Roster for the West is not accurate, well known players are not on the list.
