Top 10 People and Places where the PRESSURE is on this postseason …

Santiago and Rivera, the stage is yours.

1. Steven Rivera, Arroyo — No disrespect to Arroyo’s other players, but the Knights are only going as far as Rivera takes them. All that’s missing from Rivera’s stellar career resume is a playoff win (or two or three). Rivera has won three league titles. He’s shared the league MVP award the past two years and will likely win it by himself this year. But, what separates the good from the great is postseason performance. Rivera and Arroyo got a nice draw in the Mid-Valley Division playoffs, facing Sierra Vista in the first round. Maranatha or San Gabriel will await in the second round, either of which aren’t impossible tasks for the Knights. Rivera has thus far put together an amazing season. He leads the Valley in passing and is among the leaders in tackles and interceptions. With Tribune Player of the Year honors on the line, he needs a big postseason.

2. Travis Santiago, Charter Oak — As Santiago goes, so goes Charter Oak. Santiago has had an excellent season thus far against strong competition. But even though his team is 9-1 and is ranked No. 1 in the SGV, not everybody is fully sold on Charter Oak. The Chargers need a win in the Inland Division playoffs to validate that they truly belong among the big boys. Santiago is the kind of player that can make this happen. He will have to be sparkling on Friday against Corona Santiago to get his team into the second round. Like Rivera, Santiago has Tribune Player of the Year honors on the line. The postseason is when the special players rise up. Santiago already has one CIF championship ring. He doesn’t need to win another to prove his worth, but he does need to get Charter Oak what would be one of the biggest wins in program history on Friday against Corona Santiago.

3. Andrew Elfers, Maranatha
— When the Los Angeles Times’ Eric Sondheimer stamped Elfers as the best QB in the Southland this summer, he put the junior signal caller in some pretty rare air. Elfers will be one of the top QB recruits on the West Coast next season. But before that happens, he needs to cap his all-important junior season with a special postseason. Maranatha doesn’t play in a world-beater division. The Mid-Valley Division is mostly a locals only division, thus there are no elephants out there for Elfers and his team to overcome. If Elfers is the players everybody says he is, then that should be enough to take Maranatha on a deep run, if not challenge for the whole enchilada.

4. Ellis McCarthy, Monrovia — Shaun Cody and Brigham Harwell were both highly recruited defensive ends who led their teams to CIF championships. McCarthy has done it himself already. But as McCarthy enters his final postseason run at Monrovia, the expectations need to be turned up quite a bit more on him. Last year, people will mostly credit QB Nick Bueno as being the face of M-Town’s playoff run, This year, McCarthy needs to be “the guy”. He won’t touch the ball as much as Bueno did, but the Mid-Valley is not known as an offensive lineman’s division, meaning the stage is set for McCarthy to dominate. However, the Mid-Valley is a quarterback’s division this year. McCarthy could ruin the season of several top-notch signal callers by brutalizing them with his pass rush. Cody and Harwell dominated in the postseason, much the same way McCarthy did in last year’s championship game vs. Whittier Christian. Monrovia might still be a team searching for its identity. McCarthy could be that identity. He’s the best recruit in the area and one of the best in the country. The pressure is on him to dominate the postseason to the degree his recruiting rankings say he should. This isn’t the PAC-5 or Inland divisions. McCarthy should wreak havoc against this level of competition. If he does that and M-Town brings home another title, McCarthy will certainly go down in history with the best of them.

5. Covina — The Colts have become the overwhelming favorite to win the Mid-Valley Division after going 9-1 and sweeping the Valle Vista League. This senior class is “the class” the school was pointing to for quite a while and now they have four weeks to validate the hype. Unfortunately, though, the Mid-Valley is loaded with landmines. Defending champ Monrovia is on Covina’s side of the bracket. And if it’s not Monrovia, then Pomona or Whittier Christian could be there to block Covina’s path to the finals. Once in the finals, Covina may have to face San Dimas for the always dangerous second time in the same season, or perhaps a team like Maranatha and it’s all-everything QB Andrew Elfers. Covina’s fantastic regular season put the bullseye on its back, now the Colts have to prove they’re worth the ranking.

6. Santa Fe — The Chiefs have a chance to send longtime head coach Jack Mahlstede out in style. They were given the No. 2 seed in the Southeast Division and the expectation is that they will reach the championship game. It won’t be easy, starting with Muir. But Santa Fe is rolling right now and storybook ending is there to be written. Now it’s up to the players to make it happen.

7. Arcadia — Most Arcadia fans will tell you this is the best Apaches team they’ve seen in years. Certainly, skill position-wise that’s true. With QB Myles Carr and WR Taylor Lagace now seniors, the time is now for Arcadia. The Southeast Division isn’t as good as it was last year. The Apaches have the skill players to knock off anyone in the division, even West Covina. All of that means anything less than a trip to the semifinals and a good showing vs. West Covina will be a major disappointment.

8. Pomona — From opposing coaches to our very own Fred J. Robledo, anyone who has seen the Red Devils raves about their talent level. So far it’s meant only a nice nonleague win over Chino and a third-place finish in the Valle Vista League. If Pomona is as talented/dangerous as they say, then the Red Devils should put forth a good showing, if not beat defending Mid-Valley Division champion Monrovia, right? Pomona coach Anthony Rice has assembled a nice collection of talent mostly through transfers. This is his team’s final chance to show the world just how good they are, and what better a venue than at Monrovia to do it.

9. West Covina — The Bulldogs are on the verge of doing something truly special. Back-to-back Southeast Division championships would be an amazing way to remember what’s been an amazing senior class. But this year’s postseason is bigger than that. West Covina’s program is on the verge of something very special when you consider the amount of talent that will be coming back next year. Historically speaking, West Covina looks set to put together one of the best eras in Valley football history. But, anything short of a championship this year and it won’t happen.

10. Mike The Cousin
— Over the next four weeks, Mike The Cousin and his coveritlive broadcasts will be counted on by thousands as the information hub of the Valley. On Friday night, it should be pure madness for Mike The Cousin as everyone joins his coveritlive to not only follow/report on their own games, but also monitor how their potential next-round opponent is doing. Or to simply monitor how the rest of the Valley teams are doing. Fortunately, The Cousin has proven plenty of capable of delivering in the clutch. This year should be no different, but man, so many people will be relying on him for crucial updates. It’s kinda scary.

Not to look forward to next year so fast, but just a question to see what the future holds……

What do these schools have lying in wait once these players move on to college.

    Travis Santiago?

    Steven Rivera?

    William Livingston?

San Dimas QB? Sorry dont know name??

    Chris Caballero?

  • http://www.usbornebookswow.com Aram

    Travis Santiago? OPEN AUDITION

Steven Rivera? Brandon Jauregui (best frosh player in ’10)

    William Livingston? OPEN AUDITION

San Dimas QB? Sorry dont know name?? OPEN AUDITION

Chris Caballero? Noodles Hull or Jon Najera

It will be interesting to see what lands on CO’s doorstep this offseason in terms of a QB, because that team is absolutely loaded for next year.

  • 91107

    Aram,

As far as CO, ask around about the frosh qb from the ’09 season…if he doesnt stay with his current position, that will probably be your answer…

  • Colt74

I was slowly scrolling down and then got to see Number 10. Gave me a good laugh. Worth the build up.

About Covina and next years QB.

    Three Words.

    Bishop Amat transfer.

  • sgvfan

    Colt74,

A transfer that is going to Covina, or someone who has already trasnferred?

  • http://www.insidesocal.com/sgvfootball Aram

Yeah Colt 74, we don’t keep secrets here. What’s his bio?

  • Scout

CO frosh QB: Didnt he go to Chino Hills?

  • Scout

????; Chino hills frosh qb 6′ lefty Tropay kids a STUD! I guess he chose CH over CO.

  • Colt74

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vk9dWoOBU2k

Transferred in this season. Chris Rix coached.
    Decent size. GREAT arm.

  • 91107

i’m referring to the ’09 frosh CO qb…he’s been at CO since then…he’s a junior now…

  • PROBABLY BECAUSE

Probably transfered because the QB on Amat’s frosh team was pretty damn good and will probably battle for the varsity spot against Koa and he saw the writing on the wall . Smart move on his part because of the opening at Covina at QB . So in essence Amat still gets quality players .

  • Or…

Or…He could have just PROBABLY wanted to be on a winning team?
But you are right, it’s fun to speculate.

  • OR MAYBE

Or he was probably looking for an easy way to get the wins. But as you say it’s fun to speculate. And as far as I see all Amat teams had winning records this season and the varsity is in the playoffs .

  • CoViNa

From what I hear the BA transfer is not the backup to William, Daniel is. I hear they have a Sophomore QB who has the same style as Mr. Mcdonoogh, who has been getting a little bit of playing time this yr as backup.

  • coltfan97

Colt 74 is right he tranferred to Covina from Amat!!!! He played a little bit last week for the first time!!!! He got cleared by CIF last week!!!! From what I hear he has done well.

  • coltfan97

Daniel is a senior so he gone!!!! We were talking about on who is going to be Covina’s qb next year!!!!!

  • Yeah Buddy

Uh, yea, I’m thinkin’ nobody leaves Division 1 Amat for the potential wins at a division 11 school. It’s all about the playing time fellas.

  • CoViNa

So Curry or the 10th grader will be battling out for the QB spot next year

  • AMAT #1

The BA transfer was 3rd string at BA as a freshman. Koa Haynes was the starter. If he is in contention to be a starter at Covina the Colts will be in a for a long season next year.

    AMAT #1

  • This is only the start

The mass exitist from Amat is just starting. I personally know 3 front line frosh players from Amat on the go. The issues behind the Hauser transfer run deep and there are real issues in Lancer Land.

Blog and defend what you want but the facts have and will support it. And don’t be surprised to see some coaching changes because I hear those are coming as well.

You needed a coing flip to get in this year and next year you will be wishing there was still coin flips chance.

Just curious what is the date of your banquet?

  • coltfan97

He wil be battling Torres (the soph) next year!!! By the way Torres sees a lot of playing time on defense great athlete!!!!!!!! Plus he does the kicking! duties!!!!

  • Another Option Is…

…that he wanted to play for a coach that does not want to throw on first down, from the 12 yard line, with 1:38 left in a game that they are trailing in.

…that he wanted to be playing football after Thanksgiving.

…that a chance to earn a CIF Division XII ring is better than no ring at all.

…that easy wins are more satisfying than hard blow-out losses.

…that Div XII cheerleaders voices don’t change nor do they need to shave.

…that he wanted to play on a field that did not make him think of Kiefer Sutherland every time he heard it’s name.

…that he wanted to go to a school where their fans don’t put down other players if they transfer.

We can do this all day….and it’s ALL IN FUN so put on your big girl panties and keep it at that.

  • sgvfan

So Covina fans, who is similiar to Mcdonough? If anyone is similar to Mike I gotta see this kid play.

  • Yeah Buddy

Take a vote amongst the hardcore, high school followers.

    Would you rather:

    A. Be a one, and done Division 1 playoff team.

    B. MAYBE get a chance to play for a ring in Division 12.

Be honest everyone. You know, deep down, if you’re a real football maniac, your only choice can be “A”.

Would you rather play amongst the best California football has to offer, and know where you stand, or would you rather just settle for playing with the rest of the SGV fishbowl also rans?

  • coltfan97

Before we start passing judgement on why somebody transfers get all the facts first!!!!! We don’t know all the facts so stop passing judgement on the kid!!!!

  • Colt74

Whether it’s Torres, Curry, or ??? at the helm next year, or a combination, we are in good hands. Torres is a gutsy player who will continue to impress me.
Just two words of advise for the off season.

    Weight
    Room

    And to Yeah Buddy,
I choose B. And I’m a hardcore fan. Would you rather be at the bottom of a totem pole holding everyone else up or on top? Would you rather play against your peers who are equally as talented where you have to prove yourself, or go against peers that outclass you and overshadow you? Would you run a 100 meter dash against BOLT just to be able to say you also ran?

See it’s all in how you word the question.

  • sgvfan

    Yeah Buddy,

check back on Monday, I will ask you the same question.

    Btw, I choose B…..

  • Dang they are short!

Both of these QB’s are phenomenal Rivera and Santiago(not 6′ft as listed)…However, they are both 5’8-5’9…break out the DB gloves….No QB in College for these two sorry…well unless they play for Navy and run option. I am not hating…I just thought Santiago was taller.

  • there it goes!!!

YUP!!!!!!!!!! YOU WANT ME TO JUMP????!!!

  • AyalaBulldogFan

Don’t hate on transferring, it’s not always “…can’t compete at … High School…”. At Ayala, word on the street is the Soph QB Meyette on Varsity chose Ayala over CHHS because his older brother went to CHHS and was not treated well so the parents were not about to take another chance there. Meyette would have been the CHHS starter next year if he were there… at least that’s what the rumblings were anyway.

Myself, I did find it puzzling that someone would transfer all the way from CO to CHHS… that’s a drive just to go to another public school, it’s not even a Distinguished School or anything, and not a football powerhouse like some in the area. I mean if you’re going to go that far, you may as well drive a few more miles down the 71 and over on the 91 a bit to go to Corona Centennial where they have a half dozen D1 prospects every year…if he’s as good as some say he is. Something must have concerned them, or they are considerig moving to the area. CH is a great area. Been here since ’88…

  • Joe Amat

    Yeah Buddy,

Great question. I kinda asked it a week or so ago to Aram. And he dodged it a bit. Without making any judgements about who is who…

I always ask whether you were the kind of kid that played on the short rims against the little kids at the park and dominated the game….or did you want to get into a game with the older guys – even though you might not score as many baskets.

A only know which guys I’d want in my foxhole. You better want to test yourself against the best. Period.

That doesn’t mean some kid may feel that way but want to go elsewhere anyway or it might be a better fit for a number of other reasons.

  • Colt74

I will NEVER fault any kid or parent for choosing one school over another. Neither of those need to explain to anyone why. And not one person is entitled to even ask why.

And, we are not talking CIF. We are talking about people that feel the need to know why everyone besides themselves has to explain everything they do….

Blogger: ” Why would anyone choose that school over this school. ”
    Parent: ” Didn’t I tell you? ”
    Blogger: ” No ”
Parent: ” Then I guess it was non of your f’in business. ”

Not directed at anyone’s post here. Just in general. I always get a kick out of someones post that starts out ” I’d like to know why…. ”
My first thought after reading those is… ” Yeah…and I’d like to know Minka Kelly ”

    Don’t get me started…lol

  • Colt74

    Joe,
The only thing wrong with your analogy is ALL football fields are the same dimensions. All football teams play with 11 men on a side. All football games are played with 4 quarters. Same amount of time. Same number of downs.
So the short rim/little kids analogy is great for a sound bite but where would this relate to the previous discussions. Really? Same with the older guys reference. Are Division 1 players OLDER than Division XII?

    ***************************************************

(Generalization: Not directed at any one person)

I get it. Unless you are division 1 “SOME” look down their noses and feel that everyone else is an inferior product. Just like “Some” from a lower division might look up at “SOME” Division 1 self proclaimed prima donnas over an extended middle finger.

Everyone has their own beliefs. To each their own.

I have always believed that the ones that want to stand and pound their chests and proclaim THEY ARE THE BEST usually are not. But they want you to think that.
If you are the best everyone will know. There would be no need for discussions. No need to try and justify why they were better than everyone else.If you have to try and convince someone that you are the best it is obvious that you are only the best to you.
    Yes/No?

  • My Pal Joey

Interesting question considering few have actually had to play in divisions way, way, way passed their perceived level.
As you know…every single team in Bishop Amat’s “current” league played in Salesian’s league when I was @ Salesian in the early 70′s. And before any one starts with the “that was then this is now nonsense” Loyola won the CIF Championship my Jr. vs St. Paul and St John Bosco, St. Francis, Crespi and Notre Dame were D1 farms and Carson, Banning, Pius X and Lb Poly were monsters…so I can actually answer that question with some perspective…and here it is.

Our C and B teams won most years, our JV teams struglled but won our fair share and our Varsity “played tough” but lost most game. But here’s where My Pal Joey has a point…in 1972 Salesian had 22 1st or 2nd All League position winners…in that league..in ONE SEASON!! So yes it was an honor to play in that league.

Fast forward to now…with so many divisions, so many all league this and that, so many All CIF winners and All Star teams…who knows what’s best Joey? I do know I wouldn’t trade playing against “your” schedule…opps “our” schedule for a CIF Championship today. How else can I say this but the way it is…”I played against the best”….can’t take that from me.

Still I’ll be cheering my Mustangs this Friday towards our eventual goal…”last man standing” and mayeb a rematch with yoru Lancers…hey if you guys scheduled Garfield? LOL

Best of luck against SM…I hope you kick their butts up an down the field…won’t that be something????

  • 5’11

Here’s the deal…Doug Flutie, Drew Brees and Michael Vick, Fran Tarkenton, Joe Theisman…all about the same size.

Peyton Manning, Cam Newton, Tom Brady and many others have all the desirables…so who knows?

Wish the kids the best and stop bashing all star, record breaking school heroes.

    Geez.

  • Coach Slayer

    How do you measure heart?

  • coltfan97

    Coach Slayer,

Great question!!!! The answer is can’t measure heart!!! I call the “it” factor!!!!!

  • what, they let him out

In the movie ‘Independence Day’ the aliens let the pilot come back to earth, that was 1995, so how is it ‘Not Since 1995′ was let go also, too bad.

  • Observantcat

Ellis McCarthy is ranked higher in his position than both Brigham Harwell and Shaun Cody were back when they were being recruited. McCarthy is a Defensive Lineman, not a Defensive end. His Three hundred pounds will usually be met by 550 to 800 pounds by any opposing team. As a defensive end all you truly need to get by is a small back or a skinny receiver, big, big difference.I know that his play will be more recognized as he gets into his college format where he is not just a target for most teams to triple team. Monrovia’s squad has gelled into being a 11 man Defense in the past 6 games. I also believe that the secondary has the most int’s per game as well as the most yards per Int’s. I have faith that Monrovia will defend it Championship this season as they go deep into the playoffs with more and more confidence.

  • coltfan97

    Observant Cat,

You think you have your swag back playing in that weak RHL???? It’s easy to say that your team’s “gelling” playing against Blair and Temple City!!!!! Sorry Aram!!!!

  • http://www.insidesocal.com/sgvfootball Aram

Whatever. It’s time for ALL the super recruits to TAKE OVER. Playoff time. This is where the legend are made.

McCarthy, Elfers, Lagace, Solomon, Meaders — it’s time to DOMINATE.

  • Can’t read?

“Joe Amat goes down” – but NonSense swallows! –
Seems as though your big “biatch slap” was not directed at Joe at all by the specific statement to avoid thinking it was directed at JA:
“Generalization: Not directed at any one person”

And it appears that “Rankings” are different than “standings” so Amat is actually #13 in Division 1 and #28 in the entire Southern Section – seven spots behind Charter Oak and nearly 20 ahead of the next closest SGV school.

“Covina’s fantastic regular season put the bullseye on its back, now the Colts have to prove they’re worth the ranking.”

1.Did Covina rank themselves Number 1?
    2.Who ranked Covina Number 1?
3.Why did they do that ?
4.The answers to 1 thru 3 must have already proved their worth.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hZrXdJ-ibo&feature=related

  • coltfan97

Mtownclown you make a great point!!!! Covina or any other team should not be looking ahead to the next round thats when you get snake bit!!!!! You know the cliche take it one game at a time!!!!! This is where coaching is important!!!!! If you stop Pomona’s running game and make them one dimensional Monrovia should win!!!! Covina held Yabrough to 70 yards rushing!!!!!!!

  • Observantcat

Coltfan97, Im surprised that your response was as questionable as it seems. Monrovia, has never really lost its Swagg. We just play whoever is in front of us. If you recall we played in the RHL last year as well and that didn’t seem to bother anyone. This years team needed to settle quite a few things before we moved forward this season and I believe they have and will march forward as they did last season. Now If you have a problem with that, I or no one else can help you. I never mentioned what I think about Covina because I have never truly seen them play. I wont even go off of last season because this is a new year and the playoff brackets are a lot different than last season. So lets leave the RHL out of this because If we were to play your 2011 preseason schedule chances are we too would be 9-1. So no offense for believing in my team, like I’m sure you believe in your.

  • Dan

    “Yeah Buddy”
Your cracking me up, are you serious with that question? You need to sneek out of your ivory tower every once in a while cause your out of touch with reality. Most kids playing in highschool just want to play ball, and love playing with the friends they’ve bonded with during and before their highschool years. Whether it’s La Puente, Arroyo, Glendora, Bishop Amat, or whatever school a kid is at, they are happy where they are. There may be exceptions but the vast majority would not trade playing with the friends they have made and the team they have bonded with for a D1 one and done experience.
I can guarantee you will have a hard time trying to find a kid on West Covina or Monrovia or Charter Oak or San Dimas or South Hills or any other SGV championship team that would trade in their CIF rings and their highschool football experience just so they can say they played for a one and done division 1 school. Do you really think the D1 school experience is that much more wonderful than the rest of our SGV schools? Wow.

  • Championship or bust

Covina is not a every year competitor and probably be average next year….this is their year, their moment in time…they are a pseudo #1 until they hold up the title…despite all of the pub, they really don’t have any clear cut advantages over the other teams in their bracket and this size advantage myth is just a myth(That’s why they don’t have the heights and weights up for team)…It’s going to be tough for them to waltz through the playoffs…winning league and winning CIF are totally different. The colts have not proved anything yet…1 playoff win in last 6 years…it’s pressure over there on the horse ranch.

  • coltfan97

    Observantcat,

I do respect Monrovia because they are the defending champs!!!!! I just think this is Covina’s year they have that look!!!! When I saw Monrovia play S.D. last year in the playoffs Monrovia had that look and swag and Covina has that swag this year!!!! By the way, the way you believe in Monrovia is the same way I believe about Covina!!!!! To me thats great because fans and we should believe in are teams. I do hope that Covina plays Monrovia I really do!!!!

  • Dang they are short!

No one is questioning skill or heart…just saying that I thought they were taller…neither guy in this pic is 5’11 tho’ come on now…we signing day is coming up after the season ….my guess santiago will be the QB at Mt Sac, or WR, DB somewhere else.

  • coltfan97

I guess Nick Hynes, Philip Romano, Ceasar Murillo, and Justin Mason Don’t have size!!!! Are you kidding me????? According to championship or bust the tribune must lying about Covina’s size this year!!!! Ask West Covina if Covina’s has size??? It must be a myth right????

  • Championship or bust

Wow It’s really easy to size people up if you stand next to gate CDF….they are bigger than they have been… I wouldn’t say the have a size advantage over anyone in their bracket…just the truth..

  • coltfan97

You don’t average 200 yards rushing per game without being big and physical at the point of attack!!!!! This is one major improvement Covina has made from last year to this year!!!!

  • Joe Amat

    I wrote,

“A only know which guys I’d want in my foxhole. You better want to test yourself against the best. Period.

That doesn’t mean some kid may feel that way but want to go elsewhere anyway or it might be a better fit for a number of other reasins”

I think the four awesome kids from West Covina (and they did come across as great kids!) answered that question for us. They clearly are great competitors that want to play against the best and the kind of kids and would be an asset to any team in the valley. When asked “Who would you want to play…?” what was their immediate response?

I think we have our answer.

  • Observantcat

All this anticipation and tension is becoming just as exciting as waiting for the Floyd Mayweather and Manny Paquiao fight. Monrovia’s biggest surprise this season is Blake Heyworth. We needed a QB that could get the ball to these great recievers.

  • http://www.insidesocal.com/sgvfootball Aram

    Championship or bust,

Then why did San Dimas coach Bill Zernickow say Covina was throwing his team around? Couldn’t have been size, right? Must have been technique. I’ve stood next to Covina’s line, as in inches way, during their warmups. I stand by what I said. But the fence at CDF actually isn’t a bad place to see for yourself. It’s so close to the field at CDF.

  • Colt74

    Joe Amat,
The initial response was “Bishop Amat” from Solo but Frazier also added “or Charter Oak” which the others also agreed and added.
And why would that be? Maybe because they feel that they can play and beat them both? You would have to ask them why.
Which are the ONLY two teams that in EVERY thread have one or more of their followers state that they are the best in the SGV?
Maybe, just maybe, they feel they are better and would like to prove it on the field instead of debating it on the blogs?

Maybe that is the correct answer. Again, you would have to ask them.

Bishop Amat is a great school and have a past history of football greatness. But I would be lying if I said that I believed that TODAY the rest of the SGV teams hold them on the same pedestal as in years past. I KNOW no one from Bishop Amat remotely wants to accept that but all you have to do is read the blogs.
You KNOW what I am saying is true.
I’m a long time Bishop Amat fan. And still will be. That does not mean that I only view football through Blue and Gold glasses. I truly believe that West Covina and Charter Oak have surpassed Bishop Amats level “THIS YEAR”.

And I think they deserve the same amount of respect that ANY Bishop Amat fan would want to see in return if they themselves were 9-1.
I would think that any Bishop Amat fan would be glad to
have another team or two, or three, representing the SGV so well. The SGV is all of us…not just one team.

  • championship or bust

Dang Aram, you want Covina to win bad and you will defend them no matter what anyone says about them…It’s almost like you are taking negative comments about the colts personal. You are not the only person who has seen their lineman upclose and personal…All the Covina fans know if you stand by the gate as the players walk into the locker room, you can see them just as good as you can on the field…Put it like this…you are a big man…none of Covina’s lineman are close to your size…If they were, then I would say, they were big…They are bigger than last year, but…not bigger than the other teams in the bracket…now if you want to say they block the best, that is a different story…and is far more important than size… What are you going to if they don’t win? Now bloggers…. let’s see what he is going to say next…

  • coltfan97

Championship or Bust you still didn’t answer Aram question???? Why did Zernickow say that about Covina’s line??? You haven’t answered his question I wonder why???? You went around the question you must be a Covina hater!!!! I don’t care if you are we will you wrong in the playoffs!!!! Like I said you don’t average 200 yards rushing yards per game without being big and physical!!!! Ask West Covina if Covina is big and physical? Even though they won the game they got beat up in the process

  • Colt74

    championship or bust,
You are right. Covinas line is the same size as all the other teams in the bracket.

Do me a favor though. At the next Covina game you go to watch. When the teams line up. LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY TO THE OTHER TEAM.
You will hear them mumble in unison…….”Oh $hit!”
    :)

  • http://www.insidesocal.com/sgvfootball Aram

    Championship or Bust,

None of them weigh as much as me, but there are a few who are just as tall or close.

They are one of the biggest teams around, if not the biggest.

You saying I want them to win bad is totally unfounded. Just because I picked them to win the division doesn’t mean I want them to win bad. I’ll be happy with whomever wins the division.

  • Colt74

    Championship or Bust,
And in all fairness Coach Z was misquoted. This is what he really said….

Combat analogies…I’m sorry but the Army and the Marine Corps Active Duty or Reservist…it’s the major leagues. So the person I want next to me is one who has my back.

I don’t think those WesCo kids want to play for Bishop Amat, I think they want to be Bulldogs.

  • Go colts!

Going With Rivera and Livingston to meet in the finals…After Last season i don’t know if I can trust the colts. Covina was 9-1 VVL Champs and beat west co. I was like “Ok they are going to win it” Everyone thought they were going to win it… then they laid a egg in the playoffs and I was disappointed… Now here we are again it seems like the writers are say we are going to win it hands down….I hope The seniors bring it home…and don’t let all the the overwhelming hype get to their heads! 1# team is the team holding the trophy up when it is all said and done…

  • Lancelot

Past, present ….future. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. If, in your OPINION, c.o. or W.C or Covina, S.D., Damien, etc, etc…is a better team than AMAT or “THIS YEAR” they would beat AMAT then that is all good. Enjoy that THOUGHT. Enjoy that FEELING. Enjoy that MYTHICAL victory, Because That is exactly what you have….An “opinion”, a “thought”, a “feeling” a “mythical experience”. What you are absolutely lacking….is “PROOF” that it can be done. Prognosticate, opine and feel all you want. It still wont get you a “W” against The Bishop Amat Lancers on the field of play. And that my friends WILL NOT CHANGE…until it does. Keep playing the games on the field Lancers, that’s the only place where the games are won and lost. Unlike some, you have to BEAT my Lancers on the field of play before I acquiesce and give any team in the SGV props over my LANCERS. Some teams have done quite well this year (in their perspective leagues) and that’s great. Keep it up! Bring home a Championship! Eitherway, Championship or not, Bishop Amat is still the Top team in the SGV (and I have the “W’s” to prove it!). Good Luck to ALL come Friday Night. Go Lancers! Go AMAT!

  • Jefe

Would be shocked if Amat was able to hold Margarita to 31.

I’m thinking they’ll be in the 40′s by the third quarter.

  • CO Bro

Colt74, “I have always believed that the ones that want to stand and pound their chests and proclaim THEY ARE THE BEST usually are not. But they want you to think that.
If you are the best everyone will know. There would be no need for discussions. No need to try and justify why they were better than everyone else.If you have to try and convince someone that you are the best it is obvious that you are only the best to you.”

    Great Post!

  • Colt74

    Lancelot,
It’s easy to proclaim ” I’m the king of the world “… (And just because that guy yelled that out in the Titanic movie it carried the same amount of weight…none.).

Which MYTHICAL Experience would you care to say carries more weight in the SGV :

The judgement of the Superior Court Of PUBLIC OPINION…
    Or
The Judgement of the Municipal Court Of PERSONAL PRIDE…

Charter Oak is the current Top Team in the SGV. Refusing to accept that does not cancel it’s validity.

If a Marshal goes to hand you a summons and you refuse to accept it he just needs to drop it and walk away. The fact still remains YOU GOT SERVED…

I join in with you wishing ALL SGV teams playing tonight and tomorrow continued success.

  • Mythical

    Lancelot,
Exactly what “W’s” do you have THIS YEAR to prove Amat is the top team in the SGV? I went to Maxpreps and looked up your schedule this year but I didn’t see any victories for Amat over Charter Oak or West Covina. Apparently it’s you that continues to enjoy MYTHICAL victories.

  • Joe Amat

Something for My Friend, Colt74, Aaron, and maybe others,

Try not to pull a COChargerfan and generalize or read between any lines but rather what was actually written here:

“I always ask whether you were the kind of kid that played on the short rims against the little kids at the park and dominated the game….or did you want to get into a game with the older guys – even though you might not score as many baskets.

A only know which guys I’d want in my foxhole. You better want to test yourself against the best. Period.

That doesn’t mean some kid may feel that way but want to go elsewhere anyway or it might be a better fit for a number of other reasons.”

That being said (re-said?) the WC quartet wanted to play against “the best”. Simple answer. I don’t think I said, or even implied anything different when I asked:

“They clearly are great competitors that want to play against the best and the kind of kids and would be an asset to any team in the valley. When asked “Who would you want to play…?” what was their immediate response?

I think we have our answer.”

So don’t try to determine what you think the “essence” of what I wrote…what did I write?

Look, the real competitors at Covina, if asked, would rather play against San Dimas or West Covina than Wilson and Gladstone. Great kids, deep down inside, want to play against the best competition possible.

Now to Colt’s statement “Bishop Amat is a great school and have a past history of football greatness. But I would be lying if I said that I believed that TODAY the rest of the SGV teams hold them on the same pedestal as in years past.” I would first ask…”Why do you think that is?

I think the answer is buried in My Friends post, but I’ll read some responses before telling you exactly why.

  • Colt74

    To whom it may concern:
It is not, nor was it ever my intentions to turn these discussions into a bash Bishop Amat thread. My ONLY intention was to show that along with BISHOP AMAT, I ALSO support CHARTER OAK and WEST COVINA and am happy to see them enjoying their success as OUR VALLEYS ELITE.

    Period.

  • joe Amat

    74,

Not really looking at it as a “bash” session, but the title of the thread being “where the PRESSURE is on ” I think it’s fitting to address where the pressure is every week – not just during the season, but throughout the year (if you read the blogs).

So what I’m curious about is, 1) as you were graduating, and even in the decade and a half following, how did you and the circles you travel in, view Bishop Amat?

You stated clearly how you, and others feel. While I’m not disputing that’s how some “feel” I’d like to know what it is you think has changed that perception.

  • Lancelot

Mythical-Which “W’s” do you have over AMAT “THIS YEAR” that makes you think you can beat the Lancers? Better yet tell me how many times you (your team) has beat the Lancers on the field, ever?

  • Joe Amat

and to Aaron… forgot to address your concern over “Combat analogies” which I’m guessing referred to the “foxhole” comment.

I happen to think it’s *honoring*, not trivializing, a group when analolgies are used in a *positive* way. I don’t think athletes are offended when someone says, they “hit a home run” during an interview, a sale is a “slam dunk”, or when they take a chance it’s a “hail mary”.

Of course, I also think that a school can be nicknamed the “Warriors” and pull that off in a positive way too. Otherwise I want all my friends of Nordic decent to express their concern over the use of “Vikings” – because we all know all they did was fight, rape and pillage. What a horrible stereotype.

And don’t get me started on how offensive the Pirates, Cornhuskers, and Fighting Irish are.

  • AMAT 73

    Quasimoto the village idiot,
Man don’t you ever stop . Get me compted somewhere and maybe I’ll go to Vegas. By the way our season started against Garfield with a win so as you say we continue and get the win against SM . Either way your shiat is tired and old so go back to the wheel and spin a while waterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
    Aaron,
I don’t think it was play for AMAT it was play against AMAT and also CO . Whole different meaning .
    Colt74,
Don’t know why this ” holding AMAT on some pedestal” theory comes up but I don’t buy it . Teams should not hold us on some pedestal, maybe to the fact we are the team to beat in local contests but no pedestal . Many of the local programs are having great success which is great for the SGV. It’s great to see teams from a small area mainly cities of WC and Covina and yes AMAT is on the border of WC ( even though we can recruit from all over Southern Cal) be the main ones in the conversation of who is the best . It’s your opinion the teams you mentioned have reached our level this year but from where does that opinion come from ??? Both played a step up game and lost and WC’s against a PAC-5 team . Maybe if they would have beat Loyola then we have a better picture and that opinion would have some validity since we did lose to Loyola . We have not played each other this season so we do not have a head to head to gauge .And really at our level even though we didn’t fair all that well in the Serra as in the past 2 seasons , at our level would mean playing in our league week after week to consider our level wouldn’t we . I firmly believe WC is the best in the Southeast and Covina is the team to beat in the Mid Valley and the jury is out on CO in the Inland because of the loss to RC but they are the class of the Sierra no doubt and have all the tools to make a run in the playoffs despite the thinking of our beloved scribes at the Trib . It’s too bad we didn’t play this year then we would really know if they could beat us wouldn’t we ??? It was said about Damien that this might be the year they get us , well we know what happened there and our scribes even went as far as saying CO would use their game against Damien as a way to show AMAT how much better they are by whooping Damien by a greater margin than AMAT did , why say that if they are at our level or better , to validate that or what ???? Look at all the hype the Monrovia honks were tossing out early this year with many agreeing with it , now what are your thoughts on them and all that hype since you might face them ????? Opinions are great and good for conversation and all are correct as opinions . We are by no means beating our chests, well some do and I don’t know why they continue because it is old, but in the end the true arguement as to who can beat who is settled on the field and until we play we can only go by past games and you know the answer when we look at past games . Maybe just maybe that’s why it so hard for the AMAT fans to believe we lose some of the games to teams bloggers opinion would beat us . As far as the respect, I respect all the SGV teams and it would give me great joy to see all win titles but can you really say most feel the same about AMAT ???? I would bet you dollars to donuts the majority want to see us lose on Friday and were pissed we wound up winning that coin toss. In closing yes CO is the number one team in the Trib’s rankings in the SGV and rightfully so as they have done what they have to and WC is a close second and Covina at 3 then AMAT in my opinion but on the field against each other we really don’t know do we ?????

  • bigdog

    Aram,
Chris Miller from Diamond Ranch football has committed to Oregon State football program. Great news for the Diamond Ranch family.

  • Colt73

    Joe Amat,

“That being said (re-said?) the WC quartet wanted to play against “the best”. Simple answer. I don’t think I said, or even implied anything different when I asked:”

Joe, you are ASSUMING that they wanted to play against
” the best “. They never said in their answers the words THE BEST Bishop Amat or THE BEST Charter Oak.

Let me play devils advocate. What IF they wanted to play Bishop Amat and Charter Oak to just prove THEY were ” THE BEST “??????

We are BOTH speculating WHY they chose to want to play Bishop Amat and Charter Oak but in reality no one knows what their motives are/were. I’m not going to put added words in a kids mouth nor should you.
There are always two sides to every coin and no two people look at things the same. You have your way of interpreting their choices and I have mine. Does it REALLY mater who’s view is right?

“They clearly are great competitors that want to play against the best and the kind of kids and would be an asset to any team in the valley. When asked “Who would you want to play…?” what was their immediate response?

I think we have our answer.”

“WE” do not have our answer. You have yours and I have mine. Someone elses answer may be totally different. You ask us not to generalize but you yourself do it. Who is your WE?

“So don’t try to determine what you think the “essence” of what I wrote…what did I write?”

    ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Have no idea where you are going with that one.

“Now to Colt’s statement “Bishop Amat is a great school and have a past history of football greatness. But I would be lying if I said that I believed that TODAY the rest of the SGV teams hold them on the same pedestal as in years past.” I would first ask…”Why do you think that is?”

    1. Because Bishop Amat does not continually perform at the levels of their “famous years” past. They have proven that they are human just like everyone else. In 1960 the number 1 cereal in America was Wheaties. In 2011 it is Cheerios and they have been around for 70 years. Peoples tastes for once was once good and is now good change.

    2. Kids have grown up to realize that the name of your school has NOTHING to do with getting looked at. In the OLD days scouts concentrated on the WELL KNOWN schools. In the day of YOUTUBE you can attend Lower Podunk High and if you are good you can get noticed.

    3. The ones that used to look up to and respect Bishop Amat have learned that the respect does not seem to flow freely OUT of Bishop Amat…Mostly IN. Why would anyone other than a current student or past alumni show respect to a school that REFUSES to acknowledge that any other team in our valley can be their equal or surpass them? Why must 50% of all posts concerning the success of another school by an Amat fan also include a caveat that Bishop Amat is STILL the BEST team in the SGV no matter what anyone else does? Like earlier in my cereal analogy maybe people are tired of Bishop Amats
arrogance just like Wheaties? It doesn’t mean that Wheaties are still not good. Maybe it’s because of bad advertising? Kind of like the bad advertising that reflects back on the school from these blogs because “SOME” Amat fans fail to recognize the accomplishment of others because THEY are not Pac5.

Was just getting ready to post when I saw your other post to me. Looking back this post has taken me over an hour and a half because of interruptions.

I have been an Amat Fan since I moved to West Covina in 1969. Why? Because on the front page of the Tribune on almost EVERY Saturday was a picture and story about Bishop Amat. Been a fan ever since. 1969 was my first year of playing California football. Prior I lived and played in Florida. Was at the Coliseum for Amats 1970 win over Lakewood due to friends dad getting us tickets. My first BIG TIME football game. After graduating most of my circle was not into high school football anymore. I stayed a Colt and Bishop Amat fan. What keeps me as a Bishop Amat fan? TRADITION. PRIDE IN THEIR SCHOOL. 4 schools I will be a fan of till my last breath…Covina, USC, Florida State, Bishop Amat. Why? TRADITION.

    Amat73,
Agree with just about EVERYTHING you said EXCEPT “but in the end the true arguement as to who can beat who is settled on the field and until we play we can only go by past games and you know the answer when we look at past games” .

Past games are only that. Past games. Have no bearing in any current conversation. If in any previous meetings you may have beaten SM does that automatically mean that you will beat them tomorrow night? Or Visa Versa? Or is EVERY game a new slate and a new challenge?

I’ve stated MY observations and beliefs. I have talked to NUMEROUS people over this season at games. We discuss all divisions and teams. To a person, EVERY comment concerning Bishop Amat is negative about things said on the blogs by fans and their comments concerning other SGV teams and their ” Holier than thou ” attitudes.

It’s gotten to the point where I am starting to feel that Bishop Amat needs to hire an Image Consultant.

  • Joe Amat

    74,

Great post. The kind of things I was looking to hear. I think we agree on the reason why great competitors want to play against “the best”….You don’t play the best because you think you’re going to get your ass kicked…you want to try and prove YOU are the best. My point exactly.

(????? – I was trying to keep people from an attempt at interpreting what was written instead of what I really wrote. That happens all too often on here and IMO results in much of the “perception” of Amat fans. Really – I think if we read each thread to determine the first “shot fired” we’d be surprised)

You wrote, “Because Bishop Amat does not continually perform at the levels of their “famous years” past” and Aram in the past has talked about the Bieniemy/Royster/Fields teams used to run over the opponents. That’s where I start to get the disconnect.

Following your graduation from Covina, Amat had 3 non-playoff years sandwiched by 2 first round losses, followed bu a 2nd round loss and a 1st round exit. During the years Aram talks about Amat was most famous for the “2nd Round Jinx” after 4 consecutive Thanksgiving Weekend vacation starters. That’s not much different than the kind of performances that have been happening lately.

So why, now, is the same relative “success” perceived differently? Especially in spite of the on-field results vs locals that is actually far more one-sided and far more often during the last decade. What has changed in regards to SGV sports since your time in the mid-70s thru the eighties and into the nineties?

Waiting for more from others before I answer

  • hey bigdog

went to maxpreps to try to find some info on Chris Miller but DR doesnt even have a roster posted, the only team in the area, to be totally stealth, why arent they part of the real world??

  • Colt74

    Joe,
NOTHING has changed at Amat. The same stadium. The same great coaches. The same great players.
I believe that win/loss records have NOTHING to do with the recent negativity shown towards Bishop Amat.
What HAS changed? Information Technology. The introduction of the BLOG.
    1. There will always be a holes.
    2. Too easy to hide behind a keyboard and spew.
    3. Some come here with the SOLE purpose of trying to spin someone else up.
    4. Too easy for an over zealous fan ( of any school ) to say something that shines a negative light on that school.
    5. Prior to the advent of the blog a Bishop Amat fan could think to themselves that a 3-6 record makes them the BEST IN THE SGV or possibly discuss it amongst their circles. Their circles could be of the same mindset and of the same surroundings. Now when someone posts the same comment for all areas and read by people of different mindsets there is feedback. Usually negative if some person disagrees.
So what has changed over the years? More folks ready, willing, and able to provide feedback and to rage with their jealousy fangs showing.
Before the blogs their was the letters to the editor. Now there are 10,000 more letters to the editors created every minute of every day and another editor sitting right behind every monitor.

I have just learned to wait at least 15 minutes before commenting on something I may feel strongly against. And I try to use humor when ever possible.

So my short answer is : Bishop Amat has not changed. Everything around them has.

  • AMAT 73

    Colt73,
Ahh 73 very good year. Fair enough and I see your point as to the past is the past. Of course what we have done against SM in the past has no effect on Fridays game . But the point being is that for the longest time and you should know this as you have followed AMAT, that every year someone comes on here saying we can knock off AMAT this year. Now if you want to say AMAT is no longer the measuring stick for the SGV then say it and quit saying we can beat AMAT as if to solidify or prove that point. But the argument is always we can beat AMAT this year or we are at their level or some other phraise. Personally my perception and Colt74 sort of backs it by his ” on a pedestal ” line, that SGV teams feel they must beat AMAT to validate that thought . I am not being arrogant or any of the other labels we have but what do you think ,you read the blogs on that subject and if you didn’t know anything about SGV football what would you think ??? I used Damien as an example of just that because that was the talk on the blogs before the game. Then by them not losing as big as last year or the fact that we were tied at the half means they are catching up to us . Really, is that what it means ????? Most of the time which ever teams fan says it we don’t play a scheduled game . Then it becomes the pissing contest of my teams better than yours. So all we as AMAT bloggers can come back with that’s what you said the last time we played and look what happened. Now with us saying that we become the holier than thou ,arrogant above all other teams AMAT fan .I said it earlier that many of the AMAT posts of that nature are probably haters posing as an AMAT blogger just to add fuel to that school of thought . I mean when you have 2 bloggers who their only pursuit is to bash and hate on AMAT what does that tell you . One has gone so far as to call himself the AMAT bully and the other is like a diaper , changing his name as often as a baby shiats , and that’s a fitting example for him.

  • Colt74

    73,
73, The year of my first of 2 pintos. ( 73/76 ) You and I are of the same mindset. SOME come here and post with the SOLE intention to start crap.
Amat has been and will continue to be the ” measuring stick ” to all other programs in the area. Why? Division I Pac5.
To BE the BEST you want to BEAT the BEST. Even if Amat were not to be the best they WILL ALWAYS be inferred as such because of being in the highest division. King of the hill if even by default. Frustration sets in when others may feel they want a shot at the champ but can not have one. It’s not every year that a fighter on an under card gets a shot at the title ( or at least the SGV title). I would do back-flips if at the end of every season there was a charity game between Amat and the best team from the SGV.

IMHO the BEST way to help restore Bishop Amats image. Ignore the aholes. You win on 2 levels that way. Isn’t Bishop Amat held to a higher standard?

  • bigdog

Diamond Ranch has never posted a roster.Didn’t know you had to read maxpreps to be part of the real world!!!!

  • #8

    Aram,

You really need to get a women. Rice and Pomona at #8, they have already done better than any of the media thought they would do espically you.

What happen to your budy Gano over at Damien and all his top recruits. All we keep hearing is next year, next year. In three years Damien is no better than they were with Morrison, could have saved a few bucks.

  • bulldogchampion

Bulldogs will win CIF again! bishop is going out first round. C.O is going out second round to Upland and Covina will win CIF…MAYBE!

  • diamond ranch roster

If Roddy posted a roster, everyone would be able to see how many transfers he gets every year and we all know that there not all legal.

  • Damien Fan

    # 8

I wish nothing but the best for Pomona’s Football community as I do for any high school program. High school years are extremely formative and can indeed be one of the most confusing and challenging times in any one’s life. Having said that don’t allow the opinion, or lack thereof, of any one to jade your opinion of other schools you know nothing about. Especially since your issue is with Aram and not the Spartan Family.

Every transfer brings something to the table, hopefully your transfers have brought as much to the table, on and off the field, as our new Spartans have brought to our community. The reality is parents and players come to new schools with hope of a better or more challenging environment than the one they left and yes some leave poor situations of their doing , or others.

In the end it’s a crap shoot really but make no mistake Damien is on the right track and headed to brighter days, on and off the field. Morrison was never a good fit for Damien and if he was honest with himself he’d admit that now, as others have. So please cut the “Bring Scott Back” campaign of none lol.

Take what Aram says about Pomona with a grain of salt, every one does.

  • COChargerfan

Joe Amat, it is amusing that you are accusing others of making the same mistake as you believe I continually makeperhaps you should stop for a minute and think about the possibility that if many folks are making the same mistake in interpreting your posts than perhaps the reason is YOUR comments and not THEIR failure to comprehend.

Lancelot, PROOF goes both waysresults from 2004 are meaningless to predict what would happen in 2011 so there is zero proof that Amat is better THIS YEAR than other good teams. If you still want to argue otherwise all I have to say are these two wordsINDY COLTS.

And the best only want to play the best argument falls flat on its face when one considers that Amats football team is the ONLY sport where they compete at the supposed highest leveland supposed is the correct word after what the Inland schools did this pre-season against some of the top Pac-5 teams. And Joe, save the garbage about comparing the bottom teams in the Pac-5 to their Inland counterparts because, first of all, there arent any game results to support that assertion and, secondly, who cares as a division is only as good as the top teamscome on, do you really want to brag that Marina and Millikan and better than King and Fontana? BTW, pretty funny that you recently posted as proof of Pac-5 bottom team superiority a comparison of the Maxpreps rankings of the bottom Pac-5 teams vs. the Inland counterparts yet you guys have no problem arguing that Amat would beat CO even though Maxpreps has them at 26th in the State and Amat at 42nd.

Best of luck tonight to all the SGV teams.

Bishop has new life, and I doubt they will come out flat… and The are by no means a push over or easy win…however I saw Servite go for 2 in ot in the Trinity league title game…SM Was crushed…They will be Hungry as Eagle trying to feed his chicks…Welch will have them ready…Hag will have bishop Ready…If Rio Can hold up and hag takes some chances,,,, they could pull out the upset…Everything is riding on the Bishop Defense…However I will saw this … Bishop has better DB’s and WR’s than Servite and SM…it’s the line…they are outweighed by 50 -100lbs at every spot…the d coordinator is going to have to dial up a gym to pull this off.

COchargerfan-Touche but…as I pointed out, all you really have this year to base your point on is??? Opinion and a feeling. Dosen’t quite prove the point. Eitherway, I really am tired of the whole Bishop Amat vs. c.o. deal…I just like to push that idiot fan of yours (bullie Jean the amat bullie’s) buttons. Maybe i a year or two another game will be scheduled and the blogs can catch a fire again…I regard to baseball….did you follow the season? There is NO WAY that you can say the Bishop Amat Baseball team does not play upper division schools. There is also no way you cannot notice that they also beat the majority of those schools when they played them last year. Pretty bad point to bring in the baseball team unless you were watering the argument down to only include their league, which by the way, NOBODY is happy playing in (please don’t tell me you’re one of those clueless clowns that thinks AMAT had a choice in what league they were placed). Irregardless of all this…Good luck tonight c.o.! Go SGV!!!!

NonsenseSybil1995- same old schtick!!! Now you’re posting old jokes over and over? I’m convinced that you are a danger to yourself and the general public….can you say old? played out? repetative and who the frick cares anymore….

Good Luck tonight Lancers! And good luck to all SGV reps!

  • Joe blow hard

Oh Joe, still blowing your crap on this blog. Your blue or should we say “Blues” team got the #hit kick out of them this year. Period. Keep up the bs analysis because in the end, your team didn’t get it done on the field… again!

  • Dont get it

Blow me – heres whats funny. i just read the thread from bottom to t and I couldnt find anywhere that Joe Amat wrote anything positive about Amat directly , besides their failures in the playoffs in past decades. What are you complainng about?

  • Fly on the computer screen

Nonsence95,general”TURD”,etc, etc….Do you really believe that posting the crap that you do is really going to pursuede anyone to not follow their team? You come off as Really nothing more than a venemous old fart (general) and the village idiot (nonsense1995) I am of course assuming that you are of legal age.
******TURD, you are a real treat because you try to come off as an intellectual? Yet, here you are posting degrading and derogatory comments about a football program and their performance on the field. To do this you site the performance and outcome of the game performed by TEENAGE STUDENT ATHLETES as a basis for your bullshet. Remember that those arrogant fans that you are trying to put in their place, are not the ones that you are using as the “proof” for your statements….You are drawing a direct line to the Young men who have dedicated themselves to the season that may or may not be at an end. Regardless of your team there will be only ONE Champion at the end of the season. There are no trophies for second place and there will be many more losers than winners come the end of the season….Grow up general and stop being such a TURD!

**********Nonsense1995, you’re a complete idiot and I doubt that anything anyone says will have an effect on your dumba$$ anyway BUT should you decide to look for guidance see the above but ignore the part about assuming you’re of legal age….anyone who posts the crap that you do could not possibly be an adult in any sense of the word.

Fantastic points altogether, you just received a new reader. What would you suggest about your post that you just made a few days in the past? Any positive?
