In Boys soccer, Chino Hills tied for first place with Diamond Bar, beat Ayala 1-0 on a goal by Cesar Pompa Guerrero, the goal was assisted by Jacob Chaver’s long thrown in helping them to improve to 5-1, and 10-6-4, Ayala fell to 0-5 and 4-8-1….To continue, click thread


Before the Boys game, the Ayala Bulldogs girls Basketball team had to go double overtime to beat Chino Hills……..

As for the boys Varsity BB game:

It had all the makings of a great match-up for First place in the Sierra League at Chino Hills High School Friday night, the Huskies from Chino Hills sitting atop the league at 5-0, riding a 14 game winning streak and the upstart Ayala Bulldogs, fresh off their upset of Glendora in 2nd place at 4-1. In the end experience won out as the Huskies trounced the Bulldogs 76-39.
As the game started the Bulldogs were very much in it and leading 11-8 after 3 minutes, but then the Huskies took over and used a 9-0 run to end the first quarter and take a 19-13 lead.
The Huskies started to force turnovers and pound the ball inside to increase their lead at the half to 34-20. In the third qtr, behind the hot shooting of Derek Brown, who had 11 of his 15 points, the Huskies used a 16-4 run to put the game away and lead 63-31. The Bulldogs who fell to 4-2 and 14-9, were led by Sophomore Jared Ponce, who had 15 points and William Hougan had 8 points.
This win stretches Chino Hills’ winning streak to 15 games, 5-0 in league and 21-2 overall, they travel to Damien to meet the Spartans on Wed night.
